We just received our notes and from what I gather, security and criminality haven't even started yet. It says due date October 2017!! Does that mean that's when they will look at our file again or when they need to finish by?!
We applied in September 2016. Also, where do I see if they think interview is necessary? It doesn't look like they've done much with our applications which really bums me out :(

We are currently in Canada together, my husband on his TRV. Im expecting our first baby together in October 2017, should I notify CIC of that? Would it speed up the process? What if the baby is born before all this is done?

i am pregnant too and my husband is here in canada as well. they asked me for a birth registration, which i obviously cannot provide as my baby isnt born yet... you can email them and tell them.. it wont speed things up though, unfortunately. has your husband been here more than 6 months? he will need to provide an RCMP police check, so you could get that and when you receive it, scan it and send it to them to hopefully prompt them to work on the file

not sure where it would indicate recommended interview as ours didnt say anything either.

Thanks for your answer! Congrats :)

No he's only been here since May. But he has been to Canada in the past on 2 different occasions (both times less than 6 months). So do they add up all the visits to Canada for that 6 month thing, or just per individual visit? Cause if it's combined he's definitely been here for more than 6 months...?

its each individual time... so he has been here before for a few weeks at a time as well, which dont count and then this time he came home christmas day and hasnt left lol we extended his stay (sent by mail as it takes 119 days to receive the application and start looking at it!!) if you have any questions, feel free to PM me :)

Does this thread still have a spreadsheet going? Since the update I've been having a hard time finding my way around :p

The Due Date is the date when most of the application should be done, however most of the time they don't meet the time and they can change it. But at least is not that far, mine is till January 25, 2018. I sent the PCC on June 23 and haven't heard anything yet. I will order my notes again last week of August and see if they at least have finished the criminality checks.

Congratulations on your baby, I am pregnant too and I'm due end of August. At least your have your husband with you! My lawyer asked me for proof of the pregnancy to inform CIC, it doesn't hurt to let them know. If baby is born before the application reach the decision the only thing you will have to do is let them know that your baby is born. I am not sure if one needs to send the birth certificate, i will ask the lawyer this week and let you know.

According to the notes tread, that info will be found in the notes that the agent writes about the relationship (at the very end), it would say interview recommended but it does not always guarantee that an interview will be requested, it depends of how the next agent reviews the application. I also couldn't find any info of the interview except at the beginning where it states interview language: english and if interpreted is needed which say yes.

i know some people have it where it says "Interview Recommended" so i think its a good thing we dont see it?

Congrats on the baby!

I need to get on this ordering the notes. It is killing me not knowing a thing since March. Well they sent the official email aor2 in May but it wasn't anything new. At least if we knew we are in queue for interview or something.

I went over my notes again today and no mention of interview. If there is no mention of interview recommended, does that mean that you are off the hook for the interview? Our eligibility review had not started as of June 28, when the notes were generated.

I kind of want to know as partner and I are trying to figure out whether he should come here for a visit or I go to see him (I will go there if there is an interview).

Your due date is soon! Hope your app gets done sooner rather than later!

In our notes, it said RCMP fingerprints requested. My partner was in Canada for one year continuously. They made that request when our app was still in Mississauga. I am not sure if they do that with 2016 applicants too (under the old app).

My gut feeling is that if you don't see that in the notes, it's probably not going to be requested. I also think that the 6 month minimum time to be in Canada has to be continuous.

I can imagine that you would be frustrated since you are almost at 11 months into the processing and more difficult when you are expecting a baby.

Hopefully they get a move on with all our apps as it seems they have done nothing for months on end for most of us.

Thanks very much for your reply. Tomorrow I am going to my MP's office and see if they will make an inquiry for me about the status of our application. I read on my MP's profile that he wants a letter of request sent to his office about enquiries. Since I live 5 minutes from his office, I think I will check in person first. I am also going to order another set of GCMS notes next week. This would be 2 months after I requested the first set of notes.

Mostly I would like to to know if we are in queue for an interview. I haven't submitted further proof of our relationship for anything, but maybe I should? I was thinking of submitting Western Union receipts for money transfers from my partner and even envelopes with his name and Canadian address with different dates as further proof that we lived together at the same address since we didn't have a rental agreement cause I own the house. (Paranoia on my part because I just have too much time to think). Did you just send your extra proof of relationship documents through the IRCC webform?

I hope you hear something positive soon and that your MP's intervention might help to speed up the processing of your wife and daughter's application.

Sending extra proof can't hurt but could be that it makes no difference who knows. Yes I used the web form.
