The video did not explain whether or not vehicles offered for sale in foreign countries other than the US can be imported into Canada. You should read the above link before you post.
Please accept my apology for your ignorance....

Please read the information in the link you provide...and use the best language and logic skills you have. I will quote what is explained especially for you:

"Did you know that most vehicles offered for sale in foreign countries other than the United States cannot be imported into Canada?

This means that if you are considering importing a vehicle you bought in a country other than the United States, you need to inform yourself. Importing a vehicle into Canada that does not meet the requirements of the Motor Vehicle Safety Act (MVSA) is a criminal offense. Inadmissible vehicles are denied entry into Canada and detained. All storage and disposal fees become the responsibility of the importer."

This means that: IF you decide to import a car offered for sale in other countries than USA and Canada, you must do your homework and make sure it meets the requirements of the Motor Vehicle Safety Act (MVSA)!!! If it doesn't, You are breaking the law, the vehicle will not be allowed into Canada, and you will have to pay the money required to dispose of it.

I am not ignorant but you are. I asked you whether you are sure if OP can import his car from UAE and you answered you are sure. Read again!

If you think you have better understanding, why do you say OP can bring everything from UAE. You should say "do your homework".

Neither do you know English. You are misleading people like the OP and giving out incorrect information.

I am not mad at you but I felt yours is so illogical.

I thought to import my car - which I really loved - to Canada, only to realize after researching that virtually no one can import any USED car to Canada, for purely regulation and certification requirements in Canada which no foreign car is designed to meet.

The only except is importing it from USA, under certain conditions.

For us in the Arabian gulf countries the conclusion is clear: sell yours and buy another one in Canada.

Feels hard to let go of my lovely car :'(

Then keep it there. Many people have cottage/cars outside their primary place of living.

Thank you for sharing your experience....we will feel the same as our Nissan Pathfinder has accompanied us on many adventures in the UAE and Oman. On the bright side, we will look for something in Canada once my Honda Civic there gives up...LOL!!!

Take care,

C.

we have sent it by Sea Cargo @ 1250 AED per Cubic meter. minimum 3 Cubic meter to be booked. Cars we sold it in Auto Village.Furnitures through reference. As far as Cubic meter is concerned we need not worry about the weight. Each Cubic meter will accomodate 6 standard size boxes supplied by cargo company.we are planning to bring our furnitures ( Teak wood) from India at a later stage.
What's the company name and was it door to door?

It is ATA Cargo . Please check their website:Web: www.ata-cargo.com. Contact person is one Mr. Imran.

Door to door means they will pick up the things in your house in UAE and will be delivered in the address in Canada.
The extent of door to door service varies. All companies deliver your things to the address in Canada, but some companies don't help you move things from one level to another or set up things (such as beds).

Hi All,

I am also looking to immigrate to Canada specifically Toronto in the coming months. Hoping to land in November and find an apartment before the cargo arrives from Dubai. Has anyone had a good experience with a cargo company for door to door moving from Dubai?

Thank you all!

Since your destination is the same the poster before you, why don't you share with him and then arrange transport company afterwards ?

Hi, we plan to move to Edmonton. So, would you share your experience in moving stuff from Dubai to Canada, and by which cargo company?

regards,

Hi all,

We're planning our move to Canada after a successful PR application and just wondering if any others out there who moved from the UAE to Canada can share their experiences. Ideally we'd like to end up in Calgary but it will someone dependent on finding work etc.

Is it worth exporting / importing our car from the UAE into Canada?

What kind of moving costs can we expect if we want to move furniture from a 1 bedroom appt? (we might decide to sell)

We won't be able to move back in a few suitcases...will have to ship stuff regardless....and we won't need the items right away in Canada (so it can go via sea container, etc)..

Any advice and tips are greatly appreciated!!

C.
HI,
I assume you have been staying in Alberta for the past year or so. Can you suggest whether moving furnitures and other stuff from Dubai to Edmonton is worth it?

regards,
