As I said before the impatience is due to the fear of rejection, nothing else. I dont know about anyone else but thats the case with me.

Please share your thoughts.
Same, everyone will wait happily for 6 months if PR is guaranteed, how lovely it would be going about our lives, planning and preparing everything, dreaming of future. But sadly thats not the case.
I am so scared that i have not given any thought to preparation let alone act, because the pain will be too much later.
I guess everyone has their own way to deal with this and act accordingly.
Someone can be all calm and practical u know, someone can be all worried and frantic, someone can curse CIC to bits, anything. We all have the right to be anyway, this is a place that helps us out to share, vent out and ease that frustration, fear, wait whatever you want to call it. I am glad we have this.

For all of us on this train, time has never moved so slowly. The first quarter of this year seemed to move so fast. Then GBAM!!!! AOR on the 20th of May and it seems I am stuck in time. It feels like this year has 17 calendar months to me.

Visa Office......
London Visa office
I emailed CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca to check about my visa office and application status, a couple of days back. I got the following reply today:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please be advised that your application is at our office and is being processed as per our regulatory timeline. Please note that we cannot confirm when your file will be ready for finalization.

We do not require any information from you at the present time. An officer will contact you if further information is required. Please ensure when submitting documents that they are still valid and will not expire within six (6) months as this could delay your application.

Please consult our Website for information regarding our processing times:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/index.asp.

For your information, the processing times, provided on the website, is the average time it took visa offices to approve or refuse 80 percent of applications during a specified period in the past. They may not accurately predict future processing times.

We appreciate your patience and ask that you keep correspondence with our office to a minimum.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1) I am not sure if its a standard reply or it means that my VO is Ottawa.
2) If it means that currently my application is at Ottawa (almost 3 weeks after NA), will they transfer it to a different VO (maybe New Delhi in my case) before or after IP2?

Seems everyone is yearning to have their files in Ottawa. My file can be in Timbuktu for all I care as long as I get PPR.

So between NA and IP2 is when they check eligibility i.e 67points, CRS score and employment records?
Yes dear, it almost happens around this period, you can check legalfalcon's post also on this it has been posted by astralsource on the 2nd page of this thread.

Very slow indeed! I have been into this for 2 years now, but as close I am getting now, more difficult it gets to wait, but this too shall pass, always does. We can only pray and hope all goes well and this wait and effort is fruitful.

Given the email id says Ottawa, it could be interpreted it that way as well. Did you specifically ask them what is your visa office?

This is the standardised e-mail they send when you ask for processing time or status. I think maybe because of your 2 queries , they only replied to one. IMO, I will not take this as some proof that Ottawa is your VO.

2 years ! Wow. Well done Ma'am. This is my 9th month on this journey and it's getting closer to the finish line. I'l be 60 days post AOR tomorrow and 10 days into the "NA unknown territory". All in all, it's been an interesting journey till this point. It will surely come to pass.

Yes, its IP1, congrats.
Today my background check status changed from "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check" to "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information." It was never in NA status, so is this IP2 or just a different wording for IP1? I think I read somewhere that it can skip over the "NA" status, but I know these statuses also vary quite a bit in their wording and sequence-- in other words, they don't always follow the same predictable pattern.

Thanks dear, I am happy that you didn't have to wait much.
As the wait increases so does your patience comes to test, many people loose the freshness and zeal they have at the beginning.
For any applicant I think it takes a year for the entire process, wes, ielts etc etc. till landing, (if there CRS is par with CIC) such an applicant will be a very lucky one.
Hopefully you are that!:) I wish you a very smooth and quick journey ahead:).

Yes I have also read it, are you from USA?
Because these statuses are being updated in this way for USA applicants, this the way they are processing the files I guess, as there was substantial delay in files and hence maybe the process is being carried out bit faster. So maybe Ip2, but not sure here, i will ask some USA applicant to advise you here....

Thank you! Yes I am in the USA. I will post to the FSW-O USA thread also. By the way I am also more than two years into the process like you... submitted my first EE profile in February 2015. It is a very long journey!

It's been an interesting journey. Told myself I was going to do it myself. I remember talking to a consultant and she quoted $2,000 till ITA and I was like what the heck. Started reading, did IELTS, WES kept us waiting till forever and got into the pool. Got ITA like 4 days later and here we are.
The people I met on this forum gave me the tools I needed, they inspire the confidence I was looking for, they made me believe that it was doable and 9 months down the road, all I can say it a BIG THANK YOU to everybody here. You guys taught me patience and I pray all our dreams come to pass. Thank you
