Probably at a Royal Assent ceremony next week. But rest assured: When this bill receives Royal Assent will have zero influence on when the new regulations come into force.

The only thing the Royal Assent date is relevant for is for the intend to reside clause. But I am certain that no one will prosecute you due to intend to reside from now until next week :)
I have 301 days to apply based on 3/5, I can be patient for 2 more weeks (I'm so generous)

Downloaded the form in excitement and realized that it's still the old one :) LOL
I don't believe there will be significant changes in the forms even with bill C-6.
Best to get all ones documents and information ready. We already know what the new residency requirements will be and can account accordingly.
I'll be trial filling out the old forms ;)

Yes man congrats. You and spyfy have enough time to apply. I will complete 3 years this October. I hope it comes into effect within 2 or 3 months.
I travel sometimes, so I'll also have to wait for November-ish before I'm eligible because of absences. That is assuming that the new rules are in effect by then.

I am at 1108 days of residency that too without counting any pre-PR residence credits and taking into account a whole lot of travelling. I hope 3/5 becomes effective on Canada day!!:)

Hopefully it won't increase the backlogs and slow down processing time too much. I'm about be eligible under 4/6 rule in 3 months.
