DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW LONG IT TAKES AVO TO RESPOND TO EMAILS?

If they say to send your passport to Accra I would do so, quickly. You could wait a week to hear back from them. When you get your passport back you'll just have to go to a border to do your landing. There might be other places you can do that as well.

Hey, I've heard nothing. And my app still won't link to myCIC. I feel like I'm in the dark.

Ure not in the dark my dear.even on mycic there is nothing serious,no specific info to show u where they are on your file.at somes point i wonder if they have heart so that they can feel our pain to be far away from our love.i dont know why they are treating us like this.God is in control

If you applied before December 2016, then it is 16-17 months. If you applied after its 12 months. Most of us applied before December 2016.

If am thinking correctly then this just doesn't make sense. Ok am a Nov applicant and according to them my timeline expires April next yr (17months) So now Dec applicants have 12 months timeline meaning Dec this yr.

So will they at some point set our applications aside because we still have a valid timeline while they rush to meet up with d people under the 12 months category. That would be totally unfair if that happens.

I won't let those timelines bother me cos from a lay man understanding if we are not sorted out then the 12months process won't hold either especially people whose apps is close to Dec.

In all these we can only watch and pray

I should have explained on more thing. It says online that if you applied before December 7th 2016 then the average processing time is 16 months for ghana and 17 for Nigeria AND they can only guarantee that you will most likely be processed before December 2017. So if you applied in November, no 16 months is probably not going to be the case for you. For me who applied in August, if I was accepted in December that would be equal to 16 months. Depends on when you applied.

In as much as I might not be affected but it's still sad seeing no movement from apps earlier than mine. In this journey ur neighbors step forward is also ur own step closer to our destinations. I keep looking out for ur and other Aug applicants good news cos that gives all d encouragement one need to keep striving.

Definitely. And really who's to say AVO will actually follow the general rule. And it only says they will try to by December 2017. You're right, all in all we're suffering together with a very slow visa office while other offices appear to be making huge strides in their processing. Every single application approval is one step forward for all of us. Silence is disheartening and we feel stalled and stuck. According to my records of all apps on this forum, AVO is at the second slowest processing time since 2014. Let us hope good knees flows out before the end of June.
