Guys should i wait for the next draw or go for OINP nomination ? sitting on 412. worried about a lot of factors like Ielts expiry (Aug ), US police certificate etc etc. What do you suggest... Have y'all applied for the US PCC (for the ones from US) ? Advice will be appreciated..

I am currently in the USA.. Me and the spouse applied for a US PCC about a month ago.. It said current processing time was 12-14 weeks when we applied but people have been saying they have got their reports back in less than this (8-9 weeks)

6 May ..my cousin applied for FBI PCC in USA. Their CC not debited yet!!!
Seems they may have to wait longer / indefinitely as FBI does not commit to any processing time!!!
He will certainly get an ITA at 472 in the forthcoming draw, but will not be able to complete his eAPR!!!

The cure is a big dose of ITA for you and everyone else on this forum ;)
I've developed a post-ITA syndrome before even receiving an ITA. The reasons for rejection are enormous, and the apprehension that some of my post ITA documents might not be up-to-the-mark is causing nightmares.

UPDATE

When I recreated my profile today, I could see that my EE profile number was just 300 more than my last profile number that I got in May 12th. This could mean maybe:
  • Only about 300 new profiles were created in about one month.
  • The new additions per day (as we see in the stats) must be existing profiles updated with better CRS scores.
  • Hence, there is a big chance of us (with CRS 400+) being wiped out very soon.
ITA beckons fellas (includes ladies), scan, create PDFs, pre-book medicals and get all your documents ready!!

Thank you! :)
I actually toke at least two hours every week day, after coming home from work, to study before doing anything else.
I know life can get in the way, but I really don't think I'm naturally gifted, just very focused when I want something. And we all here want to go to Canada real hard.

It is a shame that in your country they don't give the TEF exam, as that could really be a nice incentive for you to get to continue learning. But, hey, you can always continue to learn in Canada.

As for the forgetting your knowledge part, I try watching movies and tv series in french (with french or english captions) at Netflix USA (I use a VPN), because my region doesn't have many french titles. But it's an option to watch and listen to french things to force you to remember the words. Also, you can download ebooks in french versions, I find that it helped me a lot to improve my reading skills to read a short novel, as practice.

I wish i had focus level as yours. I daydream heavily these days lol. Maybe i should seriously give Meditation a go. I did that before too lol. I will continue to study french on my own for now, will try to try lol. As my sister says in Ontario, they offer free classes for new immigrants. So i now that i have a start in French, i will definitely continue after i get to Canada, hopefully :) Watching and reading is definitely a great thing to do. Even now when i see french texts or hear something french, it feels nice :) As for now, if the CRS score do not come to 403 by July, i'm gonna book IELTS and do all i can to get to CBL 9, cos that will be more than good enough for me as per current trend. Cheers :)

You can check this website in your country: http://www.alliancefrancaise.org.np/courses/certification/
Contact them by phone and tell them you want to pass TEF for Canada immigration, I guess they can help you )))
Awww, that is so nice and thoughtful of you mate! Actually i studied my French in the very institute lol. Native and local teachers both are very nice and helpful. Unfortunately they only do DELF/DALF on regular basis which can be only used for Quebec Program :(

I understand your state of mind.

But I've realised that instead of worrying about my documents not being "up to the mark", it's better to start collecting supplementary proof and supporting documents long before getting the ITA.

My reference letters don't follow IRCC guidelines about salary or number of hours, so I was thinking about attaching my contracts as additional proof of employment but then I looked closely and found that even the contracts don't mention my work hours! How is it even possible and how come I didn't notice it before?!

I live in a different country now so you can imagine the hassle I'm going through trying to pin down former managers and colleagues who could help me.

So now I'm digging out every piece of work-related paper or email I have to show to IRCC and keeping my fingers crossed.

Good luck to us!

Yes from me, and I can give some advice to learn French if anybody wants in that new forum, we can exchange our experience. We can do it together, YES WE CAN!
Let's do it. Who's gonna start the thread? Lets have a small inquiry here. Who would like to start learning French casually via Forum? Please list your username below. Let's say we have 10 ppl, we start the second best thread here after the Ray of Hope threads :)

That's precisely what I've been busy doing these days.
I see that we have similar issues with regards to work-hours. The service rules that apply to my employment clearly states that my work hours are at their disposal which may be a 24/7 shift too making it a 168 hours per week job. However, since it would contravene with the statuary employment rules, my employer cannot mention work hours in the reference letter.
My reference letter would hence be ambiguous and incomplete. I've been trying hard to come up with documentary evidence that specifies the maximum work hours per week. The labour laws, too, do not apply to my category of workers.

Is any chance crs at 400 by july first week. My ielts is expiring on 11 july.
Can pl somebody suggest, should i book for ielts this june end. Or wait and hope that it gets to 400 by july 11.

Pl input your suggestions!
Thank you!
The next draw after the June 6 changes will give us a good idea whether the score will get to 400 by July first week. Even if you get the ITA in the first week of July, you need to submit your required documents for e-APR before your ITA is valid. Unless you have all your documents ready, i hate to say booking your next IELTS test would be a wise decision. Either way, wait until the next draw happens. Good day ;)
