Hi Bryana,

I think my message made the wrong impression. I have questioning CIC in the reply as part of a discussion. I believe you have more experience and what you are saying is the way CIC processing - I was putting my view in a discussion on their processing nature.
Please don't mind Bryana. I really appreciate your help and your reply. It really helps.
Hey no worries. It can get really stressful waiting for decisions :)

Btw forum member 'kaminenis' wife has just got her TRV.... she has a PR application in progress. That's a positive indication.

Hope your wife gets her TRV soon

1. Do you/your husband own property/land? Or have a rent agreement?

2. Do you live with other dependent family members? For example, your in-laws? Do you have children? If yes, are they minors?

3. Leave from employment for one month indicates weak employment ties. Do you have a must-return-by-date event/requirement for your work commitments?

4. Did you prepare a day-by-day itinerary to indicate what you plan do to during your visit?
1. We live with in—lows . House is on in-laws name. We have our car and small land with my husband name.
2. I don't have child. Nobody is dependent on us.
3. Can we reduce no of days to 2 weeks. If reapply.
4. I ternary plan mean what we are going to do every day

Hi,

1. Do you/your husband pay for any expenses or utility bills or medical insurance of your in-laws?

2. You can certainly reduce your visit to two weeks. But to make it convincing (because you had stated a one month's trip earlier), you must include some work commitment which necessitates that you/your husband must return by a specific date

3. Do post the complete list of documents which you and your husband had submitted + share more details about your employment (for example, are you a freelance consultant?)

4. Yes, you must include a day-by-day itinerary for the wedding, sightseeing, meeting family/friends.... with expense estimates. And, prove that you can pay for the visit with your finances + for the airfare

All amounts stated in your application must be in both INR/CAD

Cheers

The processing time mentioned on the IRCC website is an estimate/not a guaranteed time for processing TRVs. Actual processing time can take much longer depending on the application + other factors.

A personal visit/call to the visa office will not help at all.

It's pointless sending multiple Web forms. Visa processing is going to take as long as it takes.

The only solution: Do be patient. The visa office has to do its checks/processes. You will get a decision when they are done

I have received the request to submit the passport. I have submitted my passport to VFS. Any idea how long does it take for stamping? When should I be able to get my passport back?

I could see a status change finally in the VFS site. "Visa application, tracking ID No.20170424INBLTRV**** – Passport has been couriered from the Canada Visa Application Centre, on 16/05/2017 vide courier partner. To track the status of the shipment, please visit courier partner website." Applied on Apr 24th at Bangalore for my parents.
Doesn't say anything about approval. I am hoping this means that the passport is being couriered back home. Right?

It was a passport request. They submitted their passports at vfs on the 8th and got their passports back on the 12th. Granted for 5 years multiple entry.

Best of luck everyone. The posts on here are truly helpful.
Agreed, the posts are super helpful. Got an update in the VFS site - Visa application, tracking ID No.20170424INBLTRV***** – Passport has been couriered from the Canada Visa Application Centre, on 16/05/2017 vide courier partner. To track the status of the shipment, please visit courier partner website.
Assume this is an indication that the passport is on it's way back to my parents. Hopefully they will receive it by Thursday. Not sure whether it's been approved or not - but atleast has been returned. As they have booked their travel plans to the US next week.

Yes, that's the email address.

CSE is Case Specific Enquiry ie a Web form to contact IRCC.

No, visa stamping will be done by the Bangalore consulate, not by NDVO
Bryanna - Just wanted to thank you. We received a status update from VFS that that passport is being couriered back. Appreciate your insights.

That's great news. Well in time before your parents' flights to the US.

They will get their passports back tomorrow through Blue Dart. You will know the decision only when they get their passports back. You try linking their paper apps to the online account to check if the 'Final decision' status is available

Fingers crossed

I applied for my in-laws TRV on April 25th -online and got the passport request today ie May 16 almost 22 days. By the way, I applied in India.

I have a question about sending the passport, Is there an option of mailing the passport to the CIC office instead of delivering to VFS in person. I did not read any option of mailing it. I am actually confused with those instructions regarding passport stamping. With VFS payment etc they mention of paying cash at the time of dropping passport and that is not possible if you mail it to them.
