It is pretty straight forward . you need to submit a set of documents as mentioned on the SFO Indian Consulate website. Mail them . They will courier you back your original passport with the PCC clearance stamp.
Hi Srushti,

When I referred to the SFO Indian consulate website fro PCC documents. It has listed the following documents as required:
1. Original Passport
2. Miscellaneous Application Form
3. Copies of Indian passport
4. Proof of your US Visa Status (I-20)
5. Proof of current US residence address: US Driving License or Electricity Bill
6. Personal Particulars Proforma with Photo attached.

Supporting Documents: Photocopy of all supporting documents should be notarized and attached to the application. Do not send any original documents except the PASSPORTand the document to be attested.

There is note saying "relevant and valid visa pages, green card copy, address proof in the US are to be notarized if applications are sent by mail". I wanted to know, if these are all the documents I need to send? IS it mandatory to send Passport? Your advice would help me in sending the document quickly.

Thank you !

My question is about experience.
I have completed my studies in july 2014. But started working in Jan 2016 as school teacher.
So experience is just for 1.5 years.
Is that enough to get an ITA?
NOTE: there is gap between july 2014 and jan 2016.
What to do? Need help

I am an Indian Citizen residing in USA. I received an ITA and applying for India PCC from Consulate General of India(CGI) SFO. My Indian address on the passport is different from current permanent address in India. Is this going to be a problem?

In the Personal Particulars Proforma form I need to send to CGI, they are asking for permanent address in India. Should I mention the one in my passport or the actual current Permanent address? Had anyone experience any issues with the similar situation and what might be the next steps I need to take if there is any concern? Thanks !!

Hi, you only need a minimum of one year experience at skill level 0, A, B. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp
So depending on your level 1,5year meets the requirements. However, 3 or more years gives you the maximum points for foreign work experience. It is also worth noting that one gets points for a number of other factors including age, education and language proficiency.

Use the tool below to calculate your potential points:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

All the best

Hey Seniors,

I have a question:

I was refused PR application last month due to PCC from Delhi police. Now, I have received it from passport office and a new ITA from CIC.

While answering the following statutory questions, should I reply yes or no? Should I do the same for myself and for my spouse? She is not accompanying.

1. Has Dhruv been refused refugee status, or an immigrant or permanent resident visa (including a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ) or application to the Provincial nominee Program) or visitor or temporary resident visa, to Canada or any other country?

2.Has Dhruv ever been refused a visa or permit, denied entry or ordered to leave Canada or any other country?:
Anyone has an opinion on this?

Provide the current address, passport address doesn't need to be same as your current address. They may do Police enquiry and if no one is found at the address at old address you will get into loop.

Hello all
I urgently need your help and advice:

I am currently living in Canada (since 2010) and I visited my country on December-January, 2016-2017
While I was visiting my country I applied for police certificate and received it on Feb 25, 2016. I left my country on Jan 10, 2017 and in total I stayed for one month.
can I use this police certificate for EE? I am asking that because on CIC website has been mentioned:

"For countries in which the applicant no longer resides, the police certificate must have been issued after last time the applicant lived in that country."

They used "Lived" and not "visited". Does this mean I can still use my PC?

Thank you so much for the help. I am about submitting my application but not sure about this case

I think the PCC should be after the date you left the country

Hi All.....I am new to this Forum. I have one query. I heard from some one that, Express entry system is going to become tough from July/August and some new rules would be coming for Canada immigration. Is that correct?. Please provide information on this. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Please ask for a source and reference for this information. The points system was changed in November 2016 so its unlikely that it will change again July or August.

It is currently more difficult for less skilled candidate as points have been reduced for a having a job offer. This favours those with high human capital skills (language, education, work experience, age etc). I don't know if this is what your friend was referring to.

All the best

You need a new PCC. As advised, it must indeed be dated after the last day you were there regardless of how long your stay was.

All the best

Hi..My friend is gonna create an express entry profile as IELTS result is out. He has 2 years 8 months of work experience in India and 6 months in Canada. In CRS score calculation, there is a section asks to choose the experience in last 10 years as 1 /2 /3 yrs or more. In that, should he include foreign & Canadian work experience together and choose 3 yrs or more option? or only foreign experience and choose 2 yrs? Please reply. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
