hi i am presently on open work permit till march 2017 and I received a valid job offer means a positive LMIA....I made my profile and I got an invitation under CEC... Now do i need to apply for closed work permit initially or proceed with my application without it and update my permit status later? any advice please

If I study a 1-year program and bring my common law with me:

1. Could he still work continuously if my PGWP is still under processing status?
2. Do we still need to live in one place to be considered common law? Because the program I'm taking is located in Montreal while the job opportunities for my common-law partner are concentrated in Ontario/Manitoba. He has no French skill so he might have trouble working in Montreal so he can be with me while I study.

Hi Guys,

I need help regarding Evaluation and would appreciate it if anybody can provide info. My wife and I intend to get ECA. Our Qualifications:
Both O levels and A levels
My wife LLB hons from University of Punjab
Myself BDS from University of Lahore and licence to practice from PMDC (Pakistan Medical and Dental Council)

My questions:

-Do we need to do something about O level and A level for ECA? For example get them attested from British Council and send it to Evaluating authority
Or just the highest degree is enough?

-WES does not have University of Lahore on their list and we are not sure if WES will evaluate both LLB and BDS as licenced profession. Upon doing research we have decided to go with IQAS which list both LLB and and BDS as First professional degree so we are hoping they will evaluate it as a professional degree to get points equivalent to of Masters. Does anybody have experience with IQAS how long do they take? Or getting valuation for LLB or BDS and which is the best organisation to get assessment from?

-For a licenced profession do we need to submit any other documents apart from degree? Like a copy of my licence or a letter or something? Does anybody have any idea?

Appreciate your help.

Hey guys who are gathering their documents post ITA,

I noticed that I have 15 more days to submit!

is that true or it's just a bug?

I mean now total is 75 days to submit. I reached 21 then at the evening they became 36 days

I read few articles on the subject of do I need or not to provide proof of funds when I received Express Entry invitation under PNP stream. I was not able to find any information online and hope you will be able to help me.

I'm currently working in Canada and employed by Canadian company. In my PR application I still have section of proof of funds which requires to:
Quote
Express Entry - Permanent Residents
If you are applying for permanent residence in Canada, you must provide an official letter issued by your financial institution indicating your financial profile. This must:
* list of all your bank (chequing and savings) and investment accounts, the account numbers, dates each account was opened and the balance of each account over the past six months,
* list all outstanding debts, such as credit cards and loans,
* be printed on the letterhead of the financial institution, and include your name and the contact information of the financial institution (address, telephone number and e-mail address).

But some articles says that in my case I don't need to show my bank statements and t4 form might be enough.

Please help me clarify this question.

True, I got the same email from IRCC. 15 more days were given.

Quick question,

I deleted my profile and started a new one and everything seems fine. I registered my job bank and entered my express entry information and got am email saying congratulations your express entry profile has been created and completed. My issue is that when I log into my profile the line that says job bank registration says PENDING ( which means registration is incomplete) it's been 12 hours since I created my profile but it keeps saying pending. Am I doing something wrong?

Per Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) Report, my spouse's Canadian Education Equivalency is 'Bachelor's degree (four years) and postgraduate diploma (one year).
Can you please let me know how to enter this in my Express Entry application? The values in the drop down for 'Study and Languages' doesn't have the option of choosing "Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees". This option is however in the CRS Calculator and also at the following page - w w w .cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/eca-conversion.asp. Per this page, my wife should get credit for 'A three-year or more certificate, diploma, or degree PLUS Postgraduate Diploma.
Please help with my query as I am losing a point because of this issue.
Thanks,
Ritesh

Hi guys,
I have received ITA and completing my profile for submission. I have following query:
My passport only has my first name (surname is blank on the passport) while my degree certificates and work experience letters have my full name and surname. I have prepared an affidavit to explain this discrepancy.
While completing the profile, there is a question, "Has this person ever used any other name?"
Should I answer this as Yes? My understanding is its only valid for name changes and I haven't changed my name.

Thanks

Answer No. Explain the rationale in an LOE along with the affidavit that highlights the different versions of your name.
