Please I need help,my work permit application has been refused!

Hello! I hope everyone is doing well. I'm jennssy. I'm glad to be here, it's an interesting forum. I'm here for particular reason, my application for a work permit has been refused. The reason indicated for the refusal was that I have not satisfied the Immigration Officer that I would leave Canada after my authorized stay. I'm clueless as to the reason for such decision, as there was no detailed explanation. I felt defeated right now, but I'm not giving up yet. I would like to post some questions please. I need answers...

1. How often can one reapply for a work permit? Will the refusal affect the result if I were to reapply?
2. What necessary documents will I submit to make it clear that I'll be coming back after my contract?
3. What other requirements should I submit to satisfy an Immigration Officer?

Please help. I'm so distraught right now. Thank you in advance for your help

You have to show ties to your home country, ties with family, assets there, something like that.

Dont be surprised,I was just talking to some foriegn temporary workers at Fairmont in Whistler yesterday,About 80% of Chinese Temporary workers already with LMO s,20% of Filipinos and 65% of Indians are REJECTED on th first try.You have to demonstrate and prove that you will return to your home country after your contract,Thats why I like PNP you are coming as an Immigrant

Hello leon, thank you for your answer. I'm thinking, maybe the reason for the Immigration Officer's refusal was my status(I'm single). My friends who's married with two kids got her visa with no question or even an interview. She's now in Canada. Perhaps if I'll show them a marriage contract, my visa would probably be approve, but I'm not ready to get married yet so family ties is out of the question. Anyway, how often can an applicant reapply for a work permit? Just wondering...will my previous application affect my reapplication just in case? I'm really worried.

After I've read some forums here, I figured out that being single is indeed a negative. I know no other way to demonstrate that I will returm home after my contract except get married and present them a marriage contract, but I'm not ready yet. Anyway, I would like to ask what you mean by " Thats why I like PNP you are coming as an Immigrant?" I'm sorry I didn't get it.

If you have a job offer for a skilled job, you can apply to a provincial nominee program for permanent residency with your employer. Some employers don't want to do it though until you have worked your probation time but in your case, if you can't get a temporary work permit and the employer still wants to hire you, maybe it's a good idea to see if he will apply for your PNP as well as your work permit in which case you don't have to show that you are staying temporarily since you are immigrating.

I figured out that being qualified for the Job offered is not an assurance that an applicant will pass the Immigration. In my case, I've had a job offer and an approved LMO. I've had work experience of 1year and 5 monts in a fast food restaurant which I believed is relevant to the job being offered. I'm now positive that it was because of my status that I failed to satisfy the Immigration Officer. It was the only reason indicated as there was no question about my qualifications or other missing documents. I'm not losing hope that my second attempt would be successful. With your help I know I will make it. I'll be coming back to ask more questions.

may I ask how many weeks after your medical the result come out? coz my bro till now he didn't get any response from the embassy after he passed his med last 21 August.

More or less 2 months. It was because my application has been refused. What I know about the processing time is that it will take 3 to 4 months. Your brother has to wait. What kind of job did he applied for?

he applied in a manufacturing company in Calgary, he's single like you that's why i feel bit afraid because of his status. did you attached some supporting documents like bank cert, properties, family pictures, a letter stating his reason to work and his plans after the contract of 2 years, etc. in your application? we did that to support his ties with the Philippines.

If you can get your employer to state that he is willing to sponsor you for PNP,You dont have to prove you are going back to your home country.You will be going as an Immigrant
