So I had a PGWP that expired August 13th, 2025.
I applied for a FMWP (closed French Mobility Work Permit) in August 10th, 2025. I received a letter stating that I'm able to work in Canada with the conditions of my previous work permit (PGWP) until a decision has been made or until July 2026.
I received a ITA September 3rd, 2025, and I got the AOR in September 10th, 2025.
I applied for the BOWP on September 17th, 2025, but I never received the letter saying I'm able to work in Canada with the same conditions as my PGWP until July 2026 or until a decision has been made on my BOWP.
My question is: is IRCC working simultaneously on both applications? Is my maintained status linked to my FMWP or my BOWP? Does the application to the BOWP "overwrites" the FMWP? I really want to get a different job.
