I just requested an ATIP, does it still taking about a month to receive it?
Think it is important to define what you mean by a delay? An MP can’t do anything about the small amount of quota allocated to general H&C which is primarily responsible for the long processing times.
What the MP can do...is just request information about your case on your behalf.... right?

The ATIP timeline is 30 days.

1. H&C is for extreme hardship or extremely difficult circumstances, I'm not sure if there's a merit here. Talk to a lawyer about it, but I'd doubt there's a strong case here. There are hundreds of thousands of citizens/PR holders (if not millions) with very similar situation like yours - H&C will be very hard given that.
2. Remember, if you file H&C and the claim gets rejected - you risk her never being able to have a Supervisa or a visitor visa again.

Have experience working in government policy in another field. As an educated voter I think it is important to get educated on various government policies. The fact that the Canadian government seems unable to do any longterm planning and seems unable to audit itself also drives me insane. The Canadian government’s naïveté also leads to so much waste and abuse which sadly doesn’t get enough attention. The H&C program is one of the programs that frustrates me the most yet gets minimal attention compared to programs like asylum, temporary foreign worker, etc. Many of the isssues people are currently experiencing could have been predicted around 5 years ago. I am genuinely perplexed as to why nothing has been done to try and reform a program that isn’t functional and is only getting worse. Most Canadians have no idea about immigration policy which is unfortunate because it is so important for Canada’s future. The poor policy decisions under the Trudeau government have lead to many Canadians becoming anti-immigration when Canada needs good immigration policies to build a strong future.
I agree that long-term planning, accountability, and effective immigration policies are important, and that the government should regularly review programs to identify problems and improve them. I hope Canada can develop a system that is fair, efficient, and compassionate while also addressing concerns about misuse and ensuring that public resources are managed responsibly. I think meaningful reform would benefit both Canadians and those who genuinely need protection or humanitarian consideration.

I will call the clinic and ask if they submitted my results or not

If submitted it means that IRCC’s system has not updated to received yet so you have received another request to complete a medical. If the clinic confirms that it was sent just ignore the message.

It should take 30 days to received ATIP but in reality it could take longer. An MP typically receives the same information as ATIP notes or will be told by IRCC staff that you are still undergoing sponsorship. MPs can ask for more information if the case is a significant outlying about why it is taking so long and why it may be taking so long. In some cases the application appears to have been lost in the system and there is no good reason for the lack of outcome. In the case of H&C applications the processing is extremely slow because of the very small quota. As long as your case if being processed in a similar timeline than others (not many years longer) then all you can really do is wait and update any significant changes to your application.

Brother that’s the half story i was in canada for 5 years .I got approved on establishment in Canada.I was fully settled.I even turned 18 in Canada .The assylum case was a scam caused to me by a fake lawyer who was not even a lawyer for milking money.I even abonded the case that’s why my deportation happened as you are aware once your file in assylum pool you are not eligible for any other stream.

5 years is not a long time when it comes to being established in Canada. There are cases where people have spent over 20 years in Canada and are being denied H&C.

I will double check with my lawyer if we also received another one.

What is important is that you completed the medical and that it was sent. The duplicate request only happens because the completed medical has not been formally received in the IRCC yet. No need to contact your lawyer so save yourself the billable time.

That’s weird. Did you already submit the first one?

Not weird it takes a while for the completed medical to be marked as received in the IRCC system. As long as you have completed the medical and you know it was sent just ignore the message.
