Great to know. For me, I need to wait for request letter from IRCC. Without it, I couldn’t request police cert in advanced. Anyway, thank you so much
I don't think if they need police certificate. We are protected person pr category and we can't contact our embassy. It is dangerous for us

I mean I lived in another country for more than 7 years other than my home country. IRCC might ask police certificate from that country that I have lived in more than 6 months except my country.

I applied on October-25, not even AOR yet, those “agents” keep gibing generic responses. Tried sending webform multiple times always generic responses, no one even cares but this is very unfair. It has been more than 12 months now. Where is AOR? What could be wrong? What can I do, I am happy for all you guys but if a december applicant gets a PR and I don’t, there should be something wrong. Please I can use any assistance.

I am December applicant as well and I have not received P1. I notieced it maybe because of request letter they sent me. It seems if we enter even one wrong info or miss a date, the process will take more times. And also not getting AOR does not mean your application is not being processed. They are working on your file. They say it's not started but in background it's running. Everyone has a different timeline

I am also looking for advise at this point. I have explored all the options ...I asked for gcms, my MP has contacted IRCC in my behalf.... since august 2025...prospective file... its crazy that they say there is nothing wrong with my file and nothing is pending in my side.

Have you ever talked to an immigration lawyer?

I’m a June 2025 applicant. My last correspondence with IRCC was in mid-July 2026, when I received my biometrics request and completed them later that month. Since then, there have been no updates. Since August 2026, the automated system has consistently says “We do not more documents”, “We are checking your eligibility” and “Background check in progress.”

I guess every applicant has their own timeline, and sometimes there’s not much we can do except wait patiently and hope for the best.

If you have lived in another country for 6 months or more in a row , generally requires a police certificate from that country for your PR application but don’t contact your country of persecution to obtain a police certificate.

but some saying that if it has been more than 10 years, probably no need to provide it anymore. lets wait and see.
