I haven’t received my BIL because i didn’t pay for my biometric, i had a call with the agent and was advised to pay the biometric fee, and so i did. Im exactly like you paid for the application only and didn’t know that there is a biometric fee.
Im sorry to hear that hopefully you get your bil soon. And so do the rest of us im going to do it right away and send through a webform

Since you applied in October 2025, the $635 fee was the correct amount at that time.
* April 30, 2024: Protected Person principal applicant fee increased from $570 to $635.
* April 30, 2026: it increased again from $635 to $660.
* Biometrics are separate: currently $85 per person, or up to $170 for a family applying together.

Even if you are exempt from a particular fee, if you paid it by mistake, IRCC can refund the amount once the exemption is applied. you normally don't need to request the refund.
thankyouu this helps alot.
& also i really appreciate how supportive everyone on this forum is, specially with all the mental stress everyone is going through it feels good to see this forum how everyones helping eachother. Appreciate ya’ll.

If you have the payment receipts, keep them and consider contacting IRCC through the webform to confirm whether anything is actually outstanding.
Thank you. I will do this today. The system might have had a glitch and assumed that because i have two dependent children, i should have paid 170 for biometrics but they are minors. So i needed to pay my 85 which I paid( 635+155+155+85=1070)

I appreciate everyone for input and advice.

I tried but still appears there’s no application yet in the gckey
If you received AOR recently, just wait for 3 or 4 days to link in GC key portal. If not try link with your UCI, application no, make sure your country of birth everything is same when you submitted your application. The last string, call the IRCC to help you fill up the info and link your application.

Looking at the replies of everyone we need to submit biometrics fee’s asap as everyone else has done it aswell.
I just called IRCC and my file is still in intake stage thats why it says cost recovery outstanding. Thats very crazy and unfair! Anyway.. I will be patient!

Hello Community..

I hope you are all doing great.

I am happy to read that so many of us, 2025 applicants, either have received their PR or have received significant updates. I pray that all the applications will be finalized soon.

IRCC have been doing great over the past few months, diligently working to clear this backlog. I pray that they will accelerate their efforts to clear this backlog and accelerate the reunification with our families for all protected persons inside and outside Quebec.

Below is my PR application timeline:
Aug 13, 2025: Application submitted.
Oct 26, 2025 received temporary AOR with XG.
Apr 12, 2026, received AOR with G.
Apr 17, 2026: ADL received for dependents outside Canada.
Jun 2026: Another ADL received in and a reminder in Jul 2026.
Jul 29, 2026: BIL received.
Aug 13, 2026: BIL completed.
Sep 15, 2026: PAL (Form IMM5801) received (sent by IRCC, no specific office).
Sep 17, 2026: Eligibility letter received (sent by Case Processing Centre Mississauga).
Sep 22, 2026: Email from the outside Canada Visa Office sent to my spouse and to me (being the representative) to provide certain forms again and proof of payment of biometrics along with Head Of Family form (to be filled by me).

I have 3 questions please:

1. In the eligibility letter received from Case Processing Centre Mississauga, my eldest child was listed as accompanying. In the PR application, I put the child as non-accompanying due to age limit (was 21 years 11 months when I submitted the refugee claim).

Is it possible that the child was listed by IRCC as accompanying by mistake? Or is it possible that IRCC agreed to include my child as an accompanying dependent although the child was 11 months older than 21 so that the child would not be left alone?

2. Replying to the email sent by the visa office, should I re-submit the same forms? Practically, no changes to these forms except the travel history.

3. Is receiving this request from the visa office outside Canada for my dependents a good sign that my PR application have been approved? I have not received FD yet on the GCKey account.

Thank you all..
You should have added the child as accompanying. The child's age was the age at last birthday which was 21years. The child wasn't 22 years old yet. My child was that exact same age and he was an eligible dependant.
