2025 PR Application Timeline (Protected Person)

Hello,
I am a Protected Person living in Alberta. I applied for permanent residence in April 2025.
About 40 days ago I completed my biometrics. Today I received the Pre-Arrival Letter (PAL / IMM 5801) by email.
Since I am already in Canada, could you please tell me what the next steps are after receiving this letter?

My dad received a Biometric and Medical Exam request letter today.

Temp AOR (XG###) - July 28, 2025

BIL request - Jun 24, 2026

Medical passed - July 4, 2026

I have a question if someone in similar situation .

My dad has alrdy provided Biometric and we can see the Biometric enrolment date and expire date in “Applicant Information” section, however, in the “Details about your application status” section, it’s still showing “We have not received your fingerprints. Check your biometrics request message below for details”. Any idea why it’s that ? Or anyone has similar situation?

both me and my partner did ours on June 24, 2026 and in GCkey it showed that we completed biometrics but it was still asking us to submit biometrics ignore because Gckey is very in the back and doesn’t update real time, the status for us never changed until August 3, 2026 to complete and still it changed to May 2, 2025 lol which is a day after we submitted our biometrics which I suspected the system reused our biometrics from our initial refugee claim back in 2023 because our criminality and information sharing was marked complete from late May and we didn’t get BIL until end of June. But Per the Currently law they had to asked for new biometrics overall so don’t panic IRCC is so unorganized trust me.

Same here GC portal takes time to update. I received P2 but GC portal shows background check still processing. It will only update when ecopr is issued
