Hey any update after status ID changed to 20 and what does it mean ?

Also, after how many days you were able to link your application after status id changed from 16 to 20.

July 27 - JSON = "20" or "completed"

Location - QC

Still unable to link application via portal. Called IRCC today and was told card was sent out yesterday, August 5th 2026. Shipping time can take up to 6 weeks.

Full timeline:
June 19 2026 - application submitted
July 27 2026 - JSON turned to 20/completed
August 5 2026 - card shipped

Let me tell you the general favorable trend (and there are always exception as we have people waiting for more than 4 weeks for the cards to arrive):

- Status turn 20 -
- Within 2-5 Working days (Cards shipped) -- IF you are lucky and the status changes early in the morning then the card may be sent for delivery the same day (again this is the most favorable trend in your case)
- Card usually arrive within 5-7 days.
In your case if everything goes in your favor you will get by next Friday.

I been using the Canada post app for My mail, that definitely helps when they ship it right ?
And for sure I will update it once I got it.

1 - For the Status change, you can see the exact Time stamp from JSON, where it says, Updated at: ------------------
2 - I am not sure if Canada Post will be able to help ( may be someone else can shed light on this)

So the “updateAt” 14:48:09. Which does not make sense cause I checked around 11:50, by any chance do you know why ?

I can't say certainly, but between status 16 and status 20, as well as after that, there could be small updates (ghost updates) and this just tells you the last update in system. Think of someone checked the application finally and card sent for printing (new update time), and after printing the card went out for delivery (another update).. So in your case the application went for another minor update (printing, dispatch, case completed final signed by someone - I am just making up the possibilities).

When PR card is out for delivery, you should see notification on Canada post app by name "Canada Bank Note Company" (in most cases).

However there is no tracking as such, it is available only when card is out for delivery
