Im August 2023 applicant. My husband and child are overseas. Today he received an email from IRCC requesting different documents [that we submitted when applied...] like our marriage certificate. I have the one we sent when applied but that was on 2023. Do you think they require one recent certificate?
And how to submit it? By webform? Or in my ircc secure account?
Proof of relationship, like pictures, bank account, others.

They also requested some forms like travel history, we already submitted when applied? Need to send again?
Any similar experience to share?
are we closer? My account looks the same. Nothing change yet.

Thanks.
This is absolutely ridiculous! Last October, they asked me to submit a document again, which I had already uploaded back in 2024. I sent them a screenshot of the confirmation email that confirmed that IRCC had received the documents and added them to the file. However, I received another email from them instructing me to disregard their request, claiming that they already have everything they need. It’s a clown show!

Getting conflicting messages like that can be really confusing, so hopefully things will move forward smoothly from here.

You know we paid the fees for biometrics on oct 2023 when received AOR.
On 2024 we applied for him for a visitor visa [it was denied] and for that time we had to pay [again) for biometric and he gave biometric.
So it was a surprise that yesterday ge received a biometric instruction letter. Looks like the biometrics for visitor visa doesnt count. Need to submit again.

You can add the biometric letter to the webform they sent you after he gave the biometrics. They send the biometric requests nevertheless

For Permanent residency, they always require biometrics even if you have provided before for your temporal residency permit application. Its standard. The reason makes no sense to me but its standard.

Are you kidding me? Sorry to say this, but this timeline is unbelievable. It is impossible for the IRB to conduct a comprehensive review, schedule an interview, and make a decision within 6 months. Most people wait 3 years just to have their case heard. Thanks for sharing your timeline. Now we know the 2024 timelines are fake.

I don’t know this guy but I have a friend waiting for only card now. He was February 2024 applicant

I checked the wait times for all years, along with the number of applications in the queue, and it seems that only about 300 applications were processed last month, all from 2022. Around 200 were processed the month before. The number of applications in the queue does not lie, unless IRCC is not updating it, which is hard to believe. Guys, I am pretty sure all the 2024 update are fake. Please be patient. The good news may come next month, when they begin processing the one-time initiative.

I am not tallking about Pr. please see his or her time line. Do you believe a refugee case can be heard and decided within 6 months? He or she said they got protected status in 6 months. Most applicants from 2022 have not even had their interview yet because of the backlog. To be honest, I have started to doubt the 2024 cases, but this update makes me feel foolish for believing such a myth.
