I did not get any appointment on trying online. I went to BLS Toronto office by 7:55am to stand in the line for people without appointment. And after an hour I went into the office and after some more waiting I submitted application. I asked that I will collect it, but the person at counter told me it will be delayed If I need to collect it. So I paid for courier at the counter.

Next (26/02/2026) morning, I missed Purolator courier and went with notice at the front door to Canada post address given on the notice. Initially the person told me to come after 6 pm to collect it. But gave it after checking for it. I received it by 12:30 pm on 26/02/2026.

Hi, in my Indian passport details under spousal -was empty as I was not married then. I recently got married. In the Surrender Certificate form - for spousal nationality - do I need to submit my marriage certificate? As I will have to mention the spousal nationality which is different from my Indian Passport?

Also, is a checklist we need to submit? I do not see that page anymore.
Do we still require to carry physical photo?

For surrender certificate, there is no need of physical photo as per my experience at BLS International, Toronto. Photo and sign below the photo will be there in the printed application.
It is better to mention the spouse's name and nationality. There is no need to submit any proof. We need to submit marriage certificate and spouse passport copy during OCI card application. Which will be helpful, if you want to apply for OCI card for spouse too.
