The new IRCC system shows your real position in the queue and reflects current backlog, not just an average. The long wait times it shows for new applicants are AI estimates, so in reality it won’t take that long once older files are cleared. Adding accumulation number every month so AI generated months.

Sadly, they are almost identical, with two exceptions: you can apply for PR and get a health card.
Having the privilege to apply for PR, be eligible for domestic tuition at college/uni and have a health card is not identical to claimants. These are great benefits that we dont get as claimants

No way what's going on????

CHECK THE IRCC PROCESSING TIME JUST UPDATED YESTERDAY. WHAT THE .....
99 MONTHS OF WAITING FOR PROTECTED PERSON OUTSIDE QUEBEC???

TELL ME IT'S AN ERROR.

MY GOD

WE ARE ALL DOOMED.

P2 received 11AM today.
eCoPR received today!
I’m from the country that less than 20 peoples files a refugee claim in a year.

Here’s my full timeline for anyone tracking:
  • Applied: March 14, 2023
  • AOR/request for correction : August 31, 2023
  • Final Decision: September 8, 2025
  • Portal 1 (P1): September 11, 2025
  • Portal 2 (P2): September 28, 2025
  • eCoPR Issued: October 10, 2025

I just wanted to share my experience. I’m a legitimate applicant who joined the group later after here almost 3 years. I decided to join to give back and help others with their timelines.

Honestly, I wouldn’t rely too much on the posted processing time. I believe and hope all of us end up getting results earlier than expected.

Wishing everyone the best of luck! your turn is coming soon!

Nope. it is 100% correct. they approve 13000 every year which means 100 months.

As I have been saying for a long time Canada opened their doors to many asylum seekers and refugees but the consequence is that there is now a very large number applying for PR and a much smaller yearly quota. The processing time to get PR will likely continue to get longer at least for the next 5-10 years.

Congratulations. I hope you are now happy.

Not happy about it and wish IRCC had been more upfront much earlier. I have a long list of issues with IRCC. I got a lot of abuse for pointing out the facts and wanting people to have a realistic view of what was happening based on the data so they could plan their lives accordingly. Many will be very shocked by these new processing times while those who have been paying attention to the data will not be. People who applied in 2022 are actually quite lucky they applied just as processing times started increasing dramatically.

No the dates are non sense
I put march 2023
6 month, 94k ahead of me,137k waiting

I put march 2025
70 month, 97k ahead of me, 137k waiting

The difference is huge in monthes but in number it is not
Waiting is the same and only 3k different in queue so that is incorrect
So of course that is non sesne
And input 2022 it says it is coming in a month, so leave it as it is
