Hi there,

I have the exact same situation that happened to me. (Applied through wife being principal applicant, CEC, and have two kids under 18 who are living in another country and are not accompanying). I JUST got an email from IRCC refusing my application for the same exact reason. I have two kids who are living with my ex-spouse and they are not accompanying me to Canada. I do not have any kids with my new spouse.

What did you end up doing? Do kids have to go through medical exam?

Please update me about your situation and the steps you took.

Best of luck with your application.

Waiting for your response.
How did you solve this please? or is there anyone that can explain what we can do?

Hi, could someone answer these questions. If a dependent child over 22 with family and who has health issues was not declared in pr application and we received pr but couldn't settle Canada due to dependent child deteriorating health issues. What is the process or work around to sponsor dependent and his family? Can anyone answer this one. Thank you.

Who would be sponsoring them? I assume the dependent child is single?

My wife and me we just got PR on pgp can we sponsor them?

Who is them? Just your dependent child over 22 who is single?

Dependent child has family with child.

It won't be possible to sponsor them in that case. It's only possible in cases where the child is fully dependent on you, meaning they cannot live an independent life at all and rely on you for all of their care. If this dependent has a partner / got married and had a child, they clearly don't fit this criteria. You cannot sponsor them. They would need to qualify for PR on their own through an economic immigration program like Express Entry.

If they are over 22 with have mental health issues which is worst now and financial dependent on us?

It's really not going to be possible. Based on your other posts, you didn't declare this dependent in your own PR application which is a very big problem. You have to prove that this dependent has been continuously dependent on you for everything since before they turned 22 - meaning they cannot take care of themselves at all, cannot hold down a job, cannot complete education, etc. If they had a partner / got married and then had a child, this is going to be extremely hard to prove.

If you want to try, you need to hire an excellent immigration lawyer and also understand that the chances of success are going to be extremely low.
