i am not sure about the current ETA for e-Visa for india. someone had mentioned 4 days (business days i assume) on an average. Some members got a 24-48 hr turnaround as well. You can surrender the passport in india. Surrender certificate is not mandatory for e-visa. it is just that you cannot travel to india with your indian passport after citizendhip. i think you have the right idea of getting e-visa.

This has been the timeline so far.

OCI Granted: Jul 03 2025
OCI Issued: Jul 04 2025
OCI Card Dispatched from printing cell: Jul 07 2025
In Transit from Consulate General to BLS Centre: Jul 15 2025
Ready for Dispatch: Jul 16 2025

Recieved a call today to confirm address and that they will ship the OCI today and to expect it delivered tomorrow.

On purolator website it shows that the delivery is for today.
Oci websire still shows no info.
Once status changes on bls, all tracking info can only be seen on bls page.
After bls status changes to ready for courier, for people expecting courier delivery - tracking can be done through the purolator page with the same reference.

On OCi website last status is printed then after nothing right?
