Hi you can combine and make one PDF..for example, all Indian docs with surrender certificate and upload it on cancel/surrender certificate.and then upload citizenship certificate and then in present valid passport you can upload all the Canadian docs in one PDF.

And you can upload your license as evidence of address.

But which are documents that cover everything in each ?
If you can please list documents in each section of india and canada that could be great and avoid multiple visit and rejection of application.

Hi I checked the OCI tracker yesterday and it shows the status "Granted" and updated as of July 4
Can someone advise how long it usually takes for it to be mailed out ?

When did you submitted your application at BLS?

Applied : May 22
BLS tracker still shows as "Processing at Consulate" but OCI tracker shows "Granted"

Indian origin application. Made appointment and went to BLS Calgary. Successfully submitted in my first attempt at BLS Calgary last week.
- BLS Calgary accepts Debit card or cash for payment of OCI fees
- Previous Passport field left blank, as suggested by BLS call centre person and few folks in this group. It applies to only to people who have expired foreign country passports
- Ensured parents name is exactly as per my cancelled Indian passport
- Ensured in personal address and employer address country name ‘Canada’ is mentioned specifically
- TIP: Always tell them that you want to PICK UP your OCI if you want to avoid $60 courier fees. If you don’t ask, they will add directly the courier fees along with OCI fees.

Hi Folks,

I am about to initiate the OCI application and in the document checklist it ask for COPR.

The thing is in the covid time I got PR and I dont have COPR available. They just sent a letter saying you are now permanent resident from xxx date.

I also dont have that letter. Will copy of PR card work? Any suggestions?

W.r.t your status : They do not ask for anything related to PR ( either COPR or PR card).

They need copies of your: i) Canadian passport ii) Canadian citizenship certificate iii) Surrendered Indian passport & iv) Surrender certificate.

OCI website still shows N/A.
BLS is updated.

your OCI is granted and dispatched from printing cell 1 day later than mine.
So, expect some update on Monday for your OCI.
hopefully you get it by Wednesday.

Did you submitted only minor application?

I submitted minor and my application on different dates due to portal issues.
My application submitted on 30th May was granted today.
