Will it be (Indian cancelled passport + surrender certificate) for both fields ?

BLS App Under Process : April 19th, 2024

Date Of Acknowledgment 26-APR-2024
Registration Status at Mission TORONTO
OCI- Number A123456
Documents Printing Status PROCESSED On 17-MAY-2024
Dispatched From MEA (OCI ) NEW DELHI On 20-MAY-2024
Document received At TORONTO On -

No update since then, when I applied for mine back in October, from Printing to received to me took only 3 days.

I'm planning to apply for my OCI May I know if they take the Original Canadian passport when you submit the OCI application (or) just verify and return it?

Also,
if they take the passport is it that they send the passport before and then mail the OCI after 8 weeks?

Asking this since I called both Toronto and Mississuaga BLS and both responses were contradictory.

Since many of you here have submitted your OCI application, please share your experience as ot would help.

They just verify it and give it back to you. They don't take passport unless it's for a visa

They are not authorized to keep Canadian issued documents like citizenship certificate and Canadian passports

I did not opt for the courier drop "value add" service in the case of OCI. So I will have to go and collect.
Now I wonder if I can go tomorrow or wait for the status to change "Ready for Collection"

Did your status change from counter delivery to bls centre after oci stamping to available for pickup or something?

How did you received your OCI, what documents we need to pickup our OCI. was it easy to pickup OCI?

@2017CanadaHo! I see your was dispatched on 16th May and received today. Mine was dispatched on 13th May and still not received in Toronto.

a very strange and upsetting development on my front. spouse's OCI showed disptached on 16May - which is still the case, but received in Toronto - which was earlier showing has 21May is not showing anything now!! it is blank!! @abbas.pasha boojho to jaaney!!

Do we need to self attest the supporting document that needs to be uploded online when submitting the OCI application (or) just required to self attest only the another set of dociments we submit at the BLS centre?
If needed to self attest even the one's uploading online, it will just be signing on them at the bottom right?

Uploaded one need not be self attested. Only self attest the one you submitting to BLS.
