You would need to have a valid TRV or eTA in order to be able to board an airplane and fly to Canada. A TRV or eTA is unlikely to be approved if you previously claimed asylum. However you can certainly try applying.

If you withdrew your asylum claim and returned to your home country, it may also be quite complicated to try to claim asylum again and prove you have a real fear of persecution. You may want to consider speaking with an immigration lawyer in Canada before attempting to make a claim.

Good luck.

Whats TRV

it is a temporary resident visa, like tourist/visitor visa etc.
folks are asking if you have a visa, because you will need a visa or electronic travel authorization (ETA) to board the plane from your country to come back to canada.
@scylla 's advise is accurate (below)

If you've had a refugee claim and withdrawn, you won't be eligible to claim as a refugee again.

[/QUOTE would we be able to go back and file

Do you have an approved visitor visa? If not, your chances of even getting a TRV is very low given your withdrawal of claim and leaving Canada.
