Hello. I am waiting Security in progress for months now. Recently received CBSA notes and I would be grateful if you could help what this mean-
- Triage: L9
- Last notes says "Enquiry received via SPOC. Email sent to team 2 for review"

Could you please tell me what these two means? Grateful for whatever info you can give as I am getting worried. Thank you!

SPOC = single point of contact. Sounds like something is under review, possibly the result of security screening from some sort of info-sharing partner? Just making an educated guess here.

In the context of info-sharing with the USA:

Single Point of Contact

In addition to established lines of communication between Canadian and U.S. field officers, there is also a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) at the respective National Headquarters for sharing information between Canada and the U.S. In the absence of a local contact, Canadian or U.S. officers have the ability to approach the National Headquarters of the other party to request information on a case-by-case basis. In the majority of cases, the SPOC serves as a coordinator between the requesting participant and the providing participant. The SPOC for Canada resides in the CIC Refugees Branch, Asylum Division (see List of Designated Officials). The SPOC for the U.S. is located in the DHS, Citizenship and Immigration Services.

But SPOC could be a contact point with any external organization that is not IRCC itself

Thank you so much for the response. I have S.15 on my security page of the IRCC notes. So I assume this is a result of that

I have never visited USA but lived in one of the Five Eyes countries mentioned in the link. Is SPOC specific to USA only or could it be from the other countries I have lived?

Also, any idea about Triage L9?

Please share it here once you receive it; it will probably take about 6 months.
Is there any reason why you expect them to respond within 6 months? Isn't the usual 30 days? I mean I know they can ask for extension, but is it really that complex of a question?

Ordered notes and LPP have not even been started location is e-grants. They have not asked any fingerprints from me so I'm confused as to what's taking long. For reference background completed in June and test completed in July. My question is, does Background comprise of only Criminality check or does it also involve Security? I'm confused if I'm undergoing a security check when my background has completed.

Any luck in getting a response from them?
no, they didn't respond. I sent them the email on Nov 30, 2023 but no response yet and I doubt I'll receive one. My ATIP requests are overdue, my citizenship application is stuck, they don't tell me what's wrong with my application on the phone, won't reply to my email and my previous notes are redacted. It's so fun /s

I'm sorry to hear that, sometimes I call back a few times because some agents are more knowledgeable then others and willing to help a little more in terms of sharing information. I know they said they can't see all details but I know one agent was able to see internal notes and they told me about the LP update before it was posted on the tracker. I recall i spoke to 2 other agents same day and they wouldn't tell me anything. It's such a b/s but I hope you get an answer very soon! The good news is the final P will come through as Complete soon because all other categories turned green. Hang in there bro!

For your personal records, it takes 30 days, but for public records, they often request extensions, which can result in a 6-month wait

Hmm, maybe I'll call them again sometime in the following weeks if they decide to send my notes any time soon. Thank you.
