Good day guys , just got my gcms notes and it ready grant review ready pm01
Everything for me complete but waiting on prohibition & background . My daughter is in application with me her prohibition marked completed. The due date for officer is October 17 .
Is there anyone had similar situation want to know what to expect how long will I have to wait or we will definitely get update by October 17 .

Same here — background has security in progress but the sub activity of CIT CSIS already shows “Received”
If so many people have the same issue but there is no commonality then the most plausible explanation is they simply forgot about our application…

Does your GCMS say anything on APPLICATION ASSIGNMENT? Mine is empty and I figured that it’s possible the previous officer just left my file aside. There’s no accountability at all in this process.

Is this from CBSA or IRCC? I recommend not requesting from IRCC because they are slower and redact extra information. Either way, if it’s redacted, it means your background is in process, and you might be under some more intensive check.

Due date means nothing, seems like my issue is different from yours (I simply don’t have an officer working on my thing, while you are stuck in security)

Understood but they might not wanna revel the sources as I think my security is valid since pr was only in Jan 2023 and haven’t left country and during pr I went with comprehensive security why would they do it again normally security is valid for 4 years

You cannot apply reason to IRCC, it is one of the most incompetent government agencies. They may do another security for no reason, or they may have just forgotten about your file (many such cases!). I have been in Canada for 10 years and they have already received my results from CSIS on Aug 28, yet nothing is progressing because there is no assigned officer!

The due date means nothing and you are still in the normal processing time. If you get the notes from CBSA and it says you are undergoing comprehensive again — then that’s the source of truth. If it drags over two years, usually people would go for mandamus.

Hopefully your daughter gets citizenship soon, then yours is only a matter of time.
