Hi all,

Recently, I received my GCMS Notes. And I found that under the VO's notes, there was something like "Received SPOC enquiry".

Can anyone of you tell me what exactly does this mean and is it a good/bad sign?

Also, this is my second time applying for the GCMS Notes. During my first GCMS Notes, I had all the pages sent to me. But, in the second one, there are some empty pages exacty from 29-32 & 35-42 - which says "These pages are not relevant".
These pages included stuff like, Eligibility, Medicals, Biometrics (still incomplete due to closure of VACs), Passport etc.. (People who have ordered GCMS Notes before would know about this)

Why have they hid these pages this time?

Also, in my first Notes, I had all positive response like Eligibility Passed and all.

I've attached these above said photos in the below links.

Does anyone have any clue regarding this?

Any help would be appreciated.

I think it's just a normal processing term used to to signify compliance. Don't get carried away by the way it's abbreviated, it's funny since it's worded as if a commando army operation is being carried out, those wordings may give an impression of a remark but actually its nothing extraordinary or something to ponder and worry about.

Does this make sense in your case? Its related to info sharing b/w US and Canada. Have you been to the US?

Single Point of Contact

In addition to established lines of communication between Canadian and U.S. field officers, there is also a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) at the respective National Headquarters for sharing information between Canada and the U.S. In the absence of a local contact, Canadian or U.S. officers have the ability to approach the National Headquarters of the other party to request information on a case-by-case basis. In the majority of cases, the SPOC serves as a coordinator between the requesting participant and the providing participant. The SPOC for Canada resides in the CIC Refugees Branch, Asylum Division (see List of Designated Officials). The SPOC for the U.S. is located in the DHS, Citizenship and Immigration Services.

It's most probably a mismatch with a similar name, as long as you don't have any criminal record you will pass the Criminality.
I have committed no crime whatsoever. But, what surprises me is that I still haven't given my biometrics yet.
Maybe like you said, it can be due to some mismatch or something they do that sounds scary/serious to us.

Computer automated Criminality & Security checks are done even without biometrics, you can see the that in the GCMS notes saying "In progress" despite biometrics not being given. The computer auto searches your identity using your photograph and other details.

You would had received a PFL by now if it was confirmed so your good to go.

The status of your application looks good to me also. You have passed Eligibility which is the main factor. The rest will fall in line once routine steps are completed. Good luck and please share the good news once you get it.
