LOL, clown show. They prétend to make changes and then make another deal to repeal all the changes. I thought only Canadian Liberals do such shenanigans.
It is a cycle. First they'll bring in int'l students in mass and then start crying "abuse" as if they didn't knew how it happened. UK does it, AU does it, Canada joined the league this year, US will do the same in a couple years too.
That’s such a stupid plan. Liberals are out anyways. Canada is at the crossroads of turning very quickly into an anti immigration country precisely because of how badly the Liberals destroyed a very sane and straightforward immigration system. At the expense of what? To appease Walmarts, McDonalds, Tim Hortons and Amazon. Those businesses are going to automate most of these jobs anyways. Miller knows that what’s happening in the most pro immigrant countries in Western Europe could easily happen in Canada. He doesn’t have much time to turn things around. We’re at the precipice of something very bad happening to Canada in the next few years.
AU was always known for fraud in their Education system. Unlike Canada, Australian public universities are not mandated to place a quota for international student enrolments. The UK was also known for puppy mills but they got shut down pretty quickly for a couple of years until recently. Canada had never experienced this problem to such an extent until the Liberals got elected and then decided to relax the rules around student visas and post graduate work permits. The biggest blame, though, goes to the Ontario government for introducing something known as public private partnerships, an arrangement in which private colleges are allowed to use the branding of public colleges to enrol international students. The branding allows them to offer PGWPs. These private colleges are the biggest actors in trafficking international students and they have the blessings of some of the public institutions in the country. My prediction is that the whole industry is going to blow up next year. The Indian slumlords in Brampton will be in tears when they realise that they can no longer exploit their own kind.

City of Brampton introduces Residential Rental Licensing Pilot Program
BRAMPTON, ON (December 8, 2023) – The City of Brampton is launching its new Residential Rental Licensing pilot program (RRL) set to begin on January 1, 2024, following Council's endorsement of the Residential Rental By-Law on December 6, 2023.
Applicable to Wards 1,3,4,5 and 7, the pilot will require the owner and/or landlord of every rental property with up to four residential units to obtain a licence. Licensing costs are $300 annually with fees waived during the first three months of the pilot and discounted by 50 per cent between April 1, 2024, and June 30, 2024. Registered second units, unregistered residential rental units and additional residential units (ARUs) will be included in this program.
The pilot program's goals include helping to maintain the character of local neighbourhoods, uphold property standard by-laws and keep individuals and families safe with enforcement of the Ontario Fire Code.
Units within the applicable wards will be subject to random inspections and penalties for non-compliance will be announced in January 2024.

Yes. Give it a few years and you’ll see some unpleasant figures popping up. Trump became extremely popular because the traditional left and right politicians, or what they call “the establishment”, kept ignoring the grievances of a significant portion of the American population. He directly appealed to their emotions. He’s a scumbag nonetheless. Maxime Bernier in Canada is Trump lite. No one in Canada actually believes Bernier can form a majority or even a minority, but that’s what they said about Geert Wilders and now, he’s about to become the prime minister of Holland. The biggest mistake any politician in Canada can make is being complacent about the beliefs and feelings of the Canadian public, and making the assumptions that what’s happening in Western Europe and the US cannot or will not happen in Canada. Trudeau is dumb as rocks and he’s setting the conditions for a fringe right wing party to gain seats or even power, with his polices.
