Yes. Give it a few years and you’ll see some unpleasant figures popping up. Trump became extremely popular because the traditional left and right politicians, or what they call “the establishment”, kept ignoring the grievances of a significant portion of the American population. He directly appealed to their emotions. He’s a scumbag nonetheless. Maxime Bernier in Canada is Trump lite. No one in Canada actually believes Bernier can form a majority or even a minority, but that’s what they said about Geert Wilders and now, he’s about to become the prime minister of Holland. The biggest mistake any politician in Canada can make is being complacent about the beliefs and feelings of the Canadian public, and making the assumptions that what’s happening in Western Europe and the US cannot or will not happen in Canada. Trudeau is dumb as rocks and he’s setting the conditions for a fringe right wing party to gain seats or even power, with his polices.
PP is hardly right wing. He is also pro immigration

PP is a snake. He’s not going to say anything or do anything until right before the elections. No one knows what he intends to do once he gets elected. He’s just playing it safe. He doesn’t want any unnecessary press on him. The liberals are going to destroy themselves. He’s on cruise control right now. This is his latest take on immigration levels:

In a way, he’s right. Why should he determine the immigration levels when he’s not the prime minister? It’s not an election year and he doesn’t need to release a platform now. He gave a solid response. He will tie the immigration levels to existing infrastructure levels. Plus, Canada needs immigration. Canada would end up like Japan and South Korea with zero immigration.

Hi.
FSW- outland (Algeria)
I have a question. While i was a full time student (Master), I worked as a full time developer for 1 year in my country (it was during covid time, courses were online for a long period so it was possible to work full time while studying full time), does this experience counts toward FSW experience ?
During my process, I had the same doubt. I consulted various sources and concluded that work experience should not overlap educational years. Double check and proceed.

A bit smth sensible from Miller, seems to be planning to do smth about Mexico:

They’re going to make changes to PGWP and Temporary residents next year.

I’m expecting a lot of people from Asia will choose Australia for their studies. If they start clamping down on PGWPs and reserve it only for specific courses, there will be a drastic reduction in the number of people who come to Canada for studies. In a way, it’s a good thing. Focus will purely be on permanent migration.

My reaction when any Canadian minister announces to do something meaningful:

It’s crisis mode for the Liberals so if they don’t act now, they’re getting destroyed next election by a huge margin. Trudeau is hated by majority of the population. They have about 2 year or even less if the NDP decide to pull the plug.

Yeah, but the article was about the visa policy vis-à-vis Mexico. Apparently, there were 17,000 refugee claimants and usually only 30% is approved, which is also very high. But it's costing us a lot to process their useless applications. Tons of them will overstay etc becoming a headache.
Another article was about South American gangsters coming to Canada with purchased Mexican passports.
It's getting ridiculous, they should reinstate the visa, anything Trudeau touched turned out to be a disaster.
Biden tanking in the polls is pushing him to get tough on border issues, I guess he will push stupid Trudeau to put visa.

Regardless of what they do, these idiots will lose the next election.

Tough luck, first IP ban on Reddit and now this. I don't think int'l students frequent this thread though.

Edit: Yikes, I get what you are saying now: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/delay-in-study-permit-processing.824962/post-10705747

I saw you were trolling with a Pakistani flag, that dude took it way too seriously.
