Hi,
First, thanks to everyone for sharing so much information. I found the answer to many questions in this forum.
Second, I hope it's not a repeated question. I try searching for it, but didn't find it.

We're filling the form for the PR sponsor inland and there's this question in the page 7 of the imm5589 (checklist)

"If you have lived in Canada in Canada for the last six months...
Check here if this applies to you.
"

The applicant has a visitor status and has lived in Canada for the last 7 months already, but they she was out of the country for 3 weeks during this time.

So, I feel that we should check the box, but I am not 100% sure.

Besides, if we check it, could it be incoherent with applicant's status end date ?
I mean, her last entry to Canada was on May, so we have entered November as the end date of her status in Canada in the imm0008 (generic form).

Thank you in advance

Technically, a visitor can not live in Canada.

Historically, police checks were not required from Canada. Looks like it hasn't changed:

No. You don’t need to get a police certificate for your time in Canada.

Thank you.

That's the thing, what does "to live in Canada" mean in this questions?

but OK, I'll leave in unchecked then

I would check the box. I tend to think that they care less about the status you had in any of the country you spent time in, rather the fact that you stayed there long enough that you might got local police record.

Since checking this box doesn’t require you to do anything, but just inform the ircc that you may fall under this category checking It won’t do any harm in my opinion.
On the other hand, not checking it may put you in a similar position as to those who forget to check the box about previous visa refusals. May be not as serious but who knows…
