Last update I received was medical passed on my GC Key account on March 2023. How long does it take to pass and get the letter? Please let me know. Thank you.

Protected Person inside of Canada. Alone.
Applied online for PR on October 16, 2022.
I haven't got anything except confirmation of submitted application. The status is still "Submitted". When should I get an AOR or temporary number? Thanks
Hey, how is your application going?

I am currently on parental leave
Applied for work permit 3 months before expiration but still don’t have it . SIN is expired , I can’t update it without a renewed work permit . EI is threatening to cut me off as my 120 day’s extension letter from ircc is about to expire even though IRCC said I can keep working pass the date on it until they make a decision.
EI is saying I might have to go back to work.Baby is 4 months old .
waiting to hear from EI on the decision they make
If your work permit expired and you are waiting for PR you can still keep working as long as you applied for a new work permit before it expired. If you haven’t got your work permit yet then just keep waiting. If you get it and it’s denied then you can’t work.

Is there anybody to explain this situation? Why most of us wait for long time and some of them are lucky like this? 3 months period is really short time. If this is true im sure we can mention this application as a example and can go to court. Because this is not fair us. If it’s possible in 3 months then other applications can be finished in the same time.
I totally agree bro

Hello guys,

Hope you all doing well, couple of days before I received this email and I would like to know what does it mean.

"Your application for PR has been approved, The final step in processing your application is to confirm your permanent residence and create your permanent resident card. You will complete this process through the Permanent Resident Portal (PR Confirmation).
In the portal, you will confirm that you and your dependents are in Canada, provide your Canadian address and submit your photo to create your permanent resident card".

Do I passed medical, security and background checks and what is the next step.

Also, they ask me to provide the blow information:

- Name:
- UCI #:
- Email:
- Original entry date:
- Date of last time you entered Canada:
- Location where last entered:
- Are you currently inside Canada:
- If you are not inside Canada, when is your expected return date:

Finally, how I can link my application to my gckey account because I tried so many time but no result.

Thank you for your help in advance.

Best regards.
Bro doesn’t know what this mean YOU ARE A PERMANENT RESIDENCE NOW!!! Congrats

Frustrated. It’s been almost 4 years since I came to Canada. Due to covid my hearing postponed for 2 years and now it has been already one year since I apply PR. Does anyone know how far to go?
  1. We received your application for permanent residence on December 7, 2021.
  2. We started processing your application on December 23, 2022.
  3. We sent you correspondence on November 1, 2022. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
It takes about 24 months

Can someone guide me that do I have to pay BIO MATRIC FEE for my kids ( aging 11 to 17 years) living outside Canada for their PR processing.
Please note ,I am a protected person in Canada and have received my AOR.
I have already paid Bio Matric Fee for my partner but not for kids.
Prompt replies will be appreciated.

I’m not sure about your kids because they are minors but if they are outside Canada then probably yes.
