Hey everyone, I received my eCOPR on March 8th, and have been waiting for my PR card since. It has been over 70 days now and I have called multiple times and they have been saying "they are finalizing your application now" for the last 2 weeks. No ghost updates on GCKEY and it still shows up as "submitted". Has anyone had a similar timeline? I am travelling for a 2 week vacation on July 2nd and thought I would be okay given the IRCC timelines but now the panic is starting to set in.
Maybe try emailing the portal email address and ask for your Local MP to help

RECEIVED PR CARD IN MAILBOX....- 13 FEB 2023.
Hello,

I understand you are the primary Applicant and have a dependant who is not in Canada. I am in the same boat. I just received an email from IRCC for pr portal status asking me to reply to their email with my last entry and other details. My question is should I just provide my information in the reply or my partner who is in india as well?

CoPR: 10th May
GU1: 18th May

What happens with the first ghost update? Does that mean pictures have been accepted or is that the second GU?

I would email back the first portal email you got and ask for a status update of your PR card. I'd also mention you are travelling on July 2 so they can push your application for PR card through.

Perhaps complaining works... Just got the approval today! It says give it up to 6 weeks to be sent but I have been seeing people receive it after ~1 week.

Have you done anything in particular from your side before getting the approval?

I called IRCC a few times but each time they couldn't do much. They can only send a message to the processing office to expedite the process once it's been longer than the processing time on the IRCC website (currently 36 days). I called a few times after the initial call but all they could do is check on the status of the application - they can only send the processing office a message that the approval is delayed once.

Hi,
I submitted my Portal 2 details on May 15, 2023 but have not received my eCOPR yet. Can anyone tell me if this process can speed up?
Should i call IRCC or reply on portal email again asking for it ? Suggestions anyone?

Your previous visas will be voided once you receive the ecoPR. You will only be able to return with your PR card after ecoPR is issued.

If you don't want to make any changes to your planned vacation you would want not to have the ecoPR to be issued until you return. There are options for you to explore: 1. respond to this email after you are back 2. Respond now and mention you are out and will return on X date.

I heard that option 2 could cause some delays, so as far as I remember option 1 is a better choice, especially if it's just a 2-week timeframe as in your case. As far as I'm concerned they will not issue the ecoPR until you respond to the Portal email and a 2-week delay to respond is not a problem.
Hello,
I am in same situation, and cannot delay / postpone my travel. In my case, our travel is planned after 3 and half week and is for 3 weeks. So in total it will be little more than a month when we will be back. (We are a family).
In this case what do you suggest. Option 1 or 2.
Is there any problem is option 1? Can option 1 delay overall process or cause any negative effect ?
We are very stressed out. Please need guidance from learned or experienced people.
