I have a question. I applied for my parents PR in December 2022. But they already did medical for super visa application last year July and the visa was approved. Now they are coming to Canada on super visa and plans to stay for a year at least.
Under new exemptions will their medical exam will be exempted?

Yes you are exempted. Your medical is valid for 1 year. Raise a webform and include the IME to add your medical to your PR process.

Upload the one you have already collected. Give explanation for other pending PCC. If you have both, upload both either individually or together in the same attachment- leaving other empty.

I uploaded one using the portal. Then sent in the other pcc via the form. Cic really lacks proper guidance. We are not suppose to assume ourselves. It will just be an extra sentence in their steps to let us indicate how to do it. Thankyou for your response. Really appreciate it.

Yes, If they had been in Canada. They could be exempt from medical till Oct-2024. Refer to the below link

This rule came in October.

This means If medical will expire (after one year) they will not be asked for medical again.
But I hope they get PPR much before.

Medical was done in May 2022
Parents left Canada in Nov 2022
Coming back to Canada in April 2023

Can someone advice on documents to be carried for landing in Canada.

1) Passport with stamped PR Visa
2) COPR
3) Medical Reports

Anything else , like proof of funds or address etc. ?

• a new or pending application for permanent or temporary residence or a permanent resident visa, made from within Canada

No harm in trying. But, I believe this only applies to in-country applications as this is categorically mentioned in the notice. I think you still have 4 months. I am assuming a high chance for you that you will get the PPR before July. Did you receive the PCC request?

Bio was already done in 2019 and valid. My query is how many days/weeks they take to call for PPR. I am sponsering my parents. Regards

We all are in same boat. Looks like no processing around dec-2021 applications. Please check my signature for more details. Can you share your timelines?

Nov 2021 application submitted
May 2022 biometrics request
May 2022 Biometrics done
June 2022 sponsor approved and file sent to vancouver.
August 2022 linked application to GC key.

When are the medical requests usually sent after biometrics?

Gc key application status says we are processing. No movement after sponsor approval .

In my case they came within 3-4 weeks difference , Better you raise a query with CIC on pending medical request.
Did you check messages in your GCC account .
Also, if your parents have recently completed medicals for any Canadian Visa, they might not ask for re-medicals.

Congratulations!! Will advice you to do advanced PCC (was requested from me, 2 days after I did medical). I sent it via webform.
