Can you please point our where to find this information? My PR card expires the 26th of June and I'm planning a work trip earlier that same month. I was considering applying for my new card upon my return, but maybe I could begin the process sooner if it's allowed to have two valid cards...

Will I? Isn't it taking like 5 months for the cards to be issued? I fly out the 1st of June and return the 20th, I need to be 100% sure that I'll have a card available to fly out and to return.

After my background check was reset to in progress (after completed more than a year ago) I took my FP without them asking me again to gain sometimes and after 3 weeks today my background check is now completed the only one left now is prohibitions.

You mailed the application to the P.O. Box address or the office address for courier? I mailed the urgent one to the office address but I just realized I put urgent on my envelop but ups put my envelop in their envelop and I didn't write urgent on it. It's like no use, I'm so stupid, didn't realize it until now and it's already on the way to Sydney

I sent it by Canada Post. Did not mark as urgent though. Perhaps they will open the courier bag?

Also, Have you tried tracking with your UCI on Ecas?

@ROCK ON: why not give it a try! All you need to give the RCMP is the ircx Vancouver address and your application number. You never know, it could preemptively approve your criminality!

exactly you don't lose anything providing that you know where is your application office and they already asked for FP before.

No update yet, but I think your screening started a week or two before mine (June 2). If you're lucky, ircc will be their usual lazy selves and it will be a few more months for oath

Background completed today (marked as Feb 13)! So around 8.5 months since start in June 2022. Now waiting on LPP and oath

Hi I am in same stage except I was asked and I gave my FP already last year post which, it was marked completed. And then went to In Progress again, 7 months later. As I already sent FP once and have also tried asking MP to reach out, I wonder if I should do what you did. Please keep us posted on your progress.

Hi I am in same stage except I was asked and I gave my FP already last year post which, it was marked completed. And then went to In Progress again, 7 months later. As I already sent FP once and have also tried asking MP to reach out, I wonder if I should do what you did. Please keep us posted on your progress.

After it went to in progress did they request again your FP? because for me after it went into in progress for the 2nd time (i already gave my FP for the first time). I took my FP without them requesting again and after 3 weeks my background check again went to completed.
If you didn't provide your fp for 2nd time, try to do that by yourself maybe it would help you not waiting on them.

No, I mean security as part of background check. As part of BG, it includes criminality by RCMP for which FPs are needed and includes security by CSIS for international checks.
Were you aware what component of your BG check was pending?

I have no clue, i just provided my FP to RCMP, i had a police certificate from the country where i was living before.
My first FP check was expired so maybe it was only the criminality part.
