Only option in this stream is via reconsideration through webform if one has a solid reason? No option of judicial review or appeal?
No, I didn't mean to imply that webform is the only process, but its the one I would start with because in this TR to PR program I've read of many people turning a rejection around by using the webform process and letter of explanation. The officers have been fairly lenient and understanding of information that has gone missing, minor errors, etc. You still have the option of judicial review or appeal but I wouldn't do that until I tried the webform option first.

Its all study permit applications now...come September, they will pace up the load, I strongly believe September is a month to watch out for.
Hopefully they pace up in Sept.

Another thing is - before they were planning to clear the whole 90k appls by December but later on Minister said moving applications to next year 2024. Too lazy to pull up the link... but if you search CIC new you'll find it.

Its upto us then to either have a backup or extend wp just to be on safeside. I understand the importance of time, energy ,money relationships. But yes its never to late to regret things, we still have option to apply other options rather than being negative for things that happened in past..its time we move forward with thoughts that empower us.earlier i was the one like u all frustated , complaining but yes this program has been pretty lenient in accepting our mistakes n helping us fetch pr still.so be grateful for that ..we all should be infact .while it also depends on Visa officers too some vos are good ,some lazy ,some worst and some best.so lets be hopeful

I think you meant 2023, not 2024? Right? Their budget shows approximately the last 32,000 TR to PR applications getting processed in 2023 (with about 40,000 being processed in 2022).

I applied at 12:18 May 6, 2021...after waiting for soooo long I got my file number only in April 2022, and still waiting. Is your statement on "Everyone who applied during that time period got PR in Sep last year" based on a compelling evidence or it is just a few cases that you know of ? Because if you have a solid evidence on that it might be used to ask IRCC a good question on why some are left out.
I think they are still many people waiting for their AOR and PR, especially for those who applied in the IG stream can be delayed. Due to technical glitch which accepted 7307 applications on top of the 40,000 cap. So, in order to process that additional application, ministerial instructions were issued as it was IRCC's fault which further delayed.

Yes, this is exactly the reason we are left out. We are the unlucky ones who were double counted because of their system glitch therefore AOR so late. If you go to the beginning of this forum you will see people getting AOR time wise (of course some exceptions like us), but generally it was time wise for example person who applied 12:06 pm got AOR first then the ones who applied later at 1:00 pm and so on.

It is always like that. This TR to PR application is for my friend. I applied for my PR under CEC in August 2020. and people were getting approved according to the day they applied (noticed this while following the CEC 2020 August thread), for example people who applied in July 2020 got approved in Feb 2021 and people who applied in August got approved in March 2021, however if you happen to be the few who they missed then it will take a very long time. You can take any thread (Jan 2020 AOR, Feb 2020 AOR, March 2021 AOR etc.) as a case study and you will notice this pattern.

This is my person experience & observations!

To be fair, their entire process is unpredictable, i have seen march aors getting pr, july people getting pr, i really dnt know wat to say. As theres no particular pattern to see or observe if a person from jan aor got pr in april while others like me waiting..u never know when its really ur turn. But yes getting pr is everyones wish list and final goal

Right, another thing to note is that majority of people who get approved leave the thread (except for few)....so majority people here are the ones in process may be that is why we see such sporadic approvals.

What else can I do other than analyzing this when IRCC is not doing anything haha.

I read in another thread or CIC news (don't remember now) that there are only some 75k spots left for this year quota so maybe that is another reason they have slowed down processing and only drew 1,500 in the latest express entry draw where as the usually was like 5k in my time if I remember correctly.

if they had limited spots then shouldn't have opened EE draws. Should've completed all TR to PR files this year itself and this would've reduced their backlogs too significantly

Agree 100% It is better to process the files which they have opened and put several people's lives on hold than adding new people.

This is true from the applicant side of view. From the IRCC side, more applicants means more money and this is one of the major income sources for them.
They can of course always blame the delays on COVID-19 or outdated immigration system but the reality is they always looks for ways to receive more files in their system.
