@neha.ss Hello, I booked an in person appointment for US visa stamping in Canada. I noticed earlier you ha
You have to send instruction page again for money order? I would say write a letter explaining this and also attach a note to instruction page so they dont miss this information when they look at it.

I have the same thing actually. There was some issue with DS160 so I created another as it was past 30 days when I caught on the mistake. When I sent my document I sent confirmation page of new DS160 and wrote a letter explaining this change. That time I didnt know about this help center option. This makes me worried that too that my case could be taking longer because of this. I called helpcenter after sending documents and they said that as I have already sent passport, they can no longer change DS160 from their end and consular section should be able to change in system without issue.
From what I understood from your statement is that consular did change your DS160 and updates on CEAC page are for the newer DS160, is that correct?
@neha.ss Hello, I booked an in person appointment for US visa stamping in Canada. I noticed earlier you had to fill in multiple DS160 also. I had to create a new DS160 as my old one expired and the online profile wouldn’t let me update mine. My appointment is a few weeks away, is there a someone I can contact to update the DS160 number in online profile.

Hey. Mine was Dropbox so I just send both copy of DS 160 and a letter explaining the change and eventually they changed in system on their end. In your case try contacting helpdesk to see if they can change DS160 from their end without having to change appointment date.

Hello and congratulations to all those who had a successful dropbox experience.

Question: were you in USA when Dropbox was being processed? I can't wfh and I'm planning to send documents from USA to Ottowa. Anyone did the same? Please let me know. Planning to stay in USA until I receive my passport back

What is CPC / BLS location?
Is there one in Windsor? Is there an authorized courier location in Windsor? Or can I send the documents via UPS/FedEx from usa

I believe there is one Canada Post in Windsor to which you could get your passport delivered without additional cost. You can also send the documents via FedEx from Canada if you want to, but the Canada Post delivery to/from consulate is already included in the $190 fee. You should not send the documents from USA as you will most likely be called for an interview in which case you will be unable to cross the border to Canada as your passport is already with the consulate.

I dont know what you mean by working in the US. I was physically in Canada from the time I dropped off until I picked up my passport. I was working remotely as I had talked to my manager prior and he was OK with me working remote upto 6 weeks (as typically 4-6 weeks is the processing time).

6/28 - Dropped off documents with Canada Post in Toronto
6/30 - Delivered to Ottawa Consulate
7/7 - Application Received
7/8 - Administrative Processing
7/12 - Received email that Consulate has released documents to CPC courier

CEAC tracker still reflects the status as Administrative Processing!
Will it just be the passport w/o the stamp? I don't know! smh

Ottawa seem to be doing a good job with faster turnaround. I guess you should be OK. Sometimes the CEAC tracker takes a while to get updated. Keep us posted.

hi,

i need some suggestions how to proceed.

We received COPR last month and want to travel to Canada ,but need H1B visa stamping to return back. Had previous expired stampings from India too.

1)While creating account, which option should we select ?

1) I am a Non Canadian Citizen residing in Canada who has completed the U.S. Nonimmigrant Visa Application (DS-160) form and want to apply for a visa (OR)

2) I am a Non Canadian Citizen residing in the U.S. and want to apply for a visa.

2) Are you permanent resident of any country ? Should i select Canada or not? Since we didn't get PR card yet.

3) Should i select travelling from other country ?Yes or No ?

4) As i understood it is better to travel to canada for dropbox too since they might call for interview. Is it right?

Thank you

why do you need h1b to return back to US? If you're visiting Canada for less than 30 days you can use AVR

Thank you for getting back.I am planning to change to H4 visa , so thinking it would be better to get stamping done instead of filing from USA and staying with I-539 pending.
