Hello everyone,

This is for my bother.

Filed JR after 4 study visa refusals. Finally today got the settlement offer without going to court. They gave us deadline to submit memorandum of argument by this Friday May 27.

Is anybody familiar that if settlement is issued, most probably visa is given to the client?

Thank You

Hi, too early for them to do anything, wait for at least a month for the file to reopen.

Check what your application status is now, does it show refused or submitted?
so after a month only they will ask for docs right ?
then again how long for approval?

Hi Gurinder. In most cases a settlement offer leads to Visa but we cannot say that for all

Wait for the file to reopen and they will send you additional doc request in most cases and ask for what they would like to see

Hi Ankita 30 working days is when one can expect the file to reopen
In some cases the file opens along with additional document request

Apparently the PPR can take a few weeks but again no rule of thumb.

Also, there is no place to track the PPR etc except your application

35th day

I was myself lawyer in this case:p
I meant to ask the lawyer on the other side who gave you the settlement offer. DOJ will have someone mentioned whom you can contact

That is what law firms are doing - Heard a bunch of JR folks doing this who ended up with PPR eventually

All the best
