I’m single and have no plans of marrying. I no longer have parents and grandparents but I have still have 3 living siblings in the Philippines but they’re all in their 50’s and 60’s and all of them have kids. Two of them have medical issues and one has a criminal record in the past. I don‘t have any relatives in Canada at all. I just want to sponsor one of my nephews in the Philippines (the son of my brother who passed away) but my nephew is not an orphan and he’s 22 years old and single. Am I still allowed to sponsor him instead of my brothers or sister?

Yes, you can sponsor one of your nephews.

Hi, please advise. I have a sister in Canada who is a permanent resident and single. She doesn't have any relative living in Canada. I am reading about the Lonely Canadian Program and wondering if I am eligible under this. I am 32 and single and in the Philippines. Both our parents are still living. I also can't find that much information about the Lonely Canadian Program on www.canada.com and a bit confused when redirected on this link. Thank you everyone!

You are not eligible because your parents are alive. She can sponsor your parents. You need to immigrate on your own merits through Express Entry or PNPs.
