Hi all, got passport and CoPR today. Here is our timeline:

Passport Sent: 03/24
Passport Reached NYC VFS VAC: 03/25
Passport Received Email from VFS: 03/27
Passport Dispatched to IRCC: 03/29
Passport Received by IRCC and Under Process: 03/30
Counterfoil Generated: 04/04
CoPR Generated: 04/06
Passport + CoPR Dispatched back to VFS: 04/06
Passport + CoPR Couriered back by VFS: 04/07
Passport + CoPR Received: 04/8

Congrats on receiving your passport back. Looks like my wait still continues. My passport is still at IRCC since March 31 2022.

I would guess until mid March 2023.
My MEP showed extended on Feb 25th, and COPR is valid till Feb 14 2023

I am worried they may give early expiry for COPR date ( one of my friends got just 2 months notice, her application took almost 2 years) and I would not be able to visit that because of my current visa status in USA. Also do you have steps for how to sent passport for VAC NY ?

I would not play with that tbh, normally you have 1 month to do it... check in detail if your friends medical was extended, and when.
If you had your biometrics done in VAC NY, you should have instructions on passport submission. Also, check your GCKEY email for passport request letter to make sure you need to send it to this particular VAC

Yes. Even though I made a mistake by sending the US size photos in my original envelope, the photos should be in the packet. The link above has all the items that need to be part of the packet. Don't forget to include the Money order, proof of purchase of 2 way courier, 2 TT consent forms signed by hand, RFV email printed out and appendix A filled if you are applying for PR, Your details on a blank piece of paper all in one envelope.

For the photos, I'd recommend walgreens and have them stamp the location on the back and have the photographer write the date as mentioned in the RFV email. Walgreens will not cut the photos for you, so you'll have to do it yourself. If you can find someone else that can do Canada passport photos, that's great too.

1) what address do we put in Money Order? The name I put "VFS Services (USA) Inc." as described in the document, the address not sure?

1. The address on the MO is your address.
2. Since I got my photos taken from Walgreens, I was given their photo envelope that i just dropped into the fedex package just so they don't get damaged. If you can put them in a small envelope and label it that should be fine.

Hi, COngrats on receiving COPR, I have a question regarding sending passsport to VAX new york by VFS. I am unable to download consent form from their website. Where did you get consent form from ? Is that a generic form available on google search ?
