Dr. Dave's analysis for new members. My prediction came true as per his prediction.

I took a sample of 34 people who started their application in early 2010 and are now finished
their application at New Delhi

11.7% of the people had to go for an interview.
29.4% of the people had to submit additional documents or go for an interview.

76.4% of the people had a passport request in 29 days from the date of sponsorship approval in Mississauga.
The rest were much longer like 40-80 days.

58.8% of the applications were done in 69 days from the date of sponsorship approval in Mississauga.
This group also included 30% of the people who had to submit additional documents or go to an interview.
Minimum 38 days to a maximum 91 days.

41.2% of the applications were done in 132 days from the date of sponsorship approval in Mississauga.
This group also included 70% of the people who had to submit additional documents or go to an interview.
Minimum 100 days to a maximum 279 days.

I was approved on Feb 22, 2011.

Passport Request should be on March 23, 2011. Actual: March 10, 2011
Visa with no complications should be on May 2, 2011.
Visa with complications should be on July 4, 2011.

I also got a typical right skew distribution that also agreed with some data on CIC website before they changed it.
Again this is from the date that your sponsor is approved in Missauga.

141-155 days 1 30 2.94% 88.24%
156-170 days 1 31 2.94% 91.18%
171-185 days 2 33 5.88% 97.06%
>185 days 1 34 2.94% 100.00%

speedy passport request < 45 days - good news for 70% of these cases must be simple and be done in 69 days ~ 2 months
- for the rest 139 days ~ 4.5 month wait

long passport request > 45 days - bad news long wait - 148 days ~ 5 months

I agree with fprince and nylisa comments. anf fprince is hero of this forum. he saw lots of simple aswell as complex cases.
Some cases are complex, some are simple but still some people suffer. I witnessed lots of people with simple case got delayed. I will suggest dont point out anyone as people here are sharing their experience and they are not lying.

instead of arguing here, its better to be well informed. I also suggest you to read this this thread and you will get answer to all your doubts. Its busy time in embassy because of student visas, thats y process is bit lengthy at this point of year.

Dont worry be happy. you will get visa soon.

1. lets stop debating abt if candians follow procedures or not...you do not live here hence you have no clue, and forget what you read on the internet/news abt what the western world is all abt and how perfect it is..once you come here, you will know it is not.
2. 15% asians break procudure? hahaha...says who? CIC? so why hire asians?
ohh wait i work Downtown in Toronto and i don think asians fall under visible minority in Toronto, do the papers/internet tell you this?..

All i am saying is if you want to assume cic.gc.ca as your bible what is the point of this forum?
Doesnt the rules tell you to wait for a min of 6 months before the issue a visa? so why be here? .....
right...to talk abt the screwups which happen, that is why we are here...we all read abt screwups and hope it does not happen to us..point blank.

When you find time, read the last 700 pages on this forum..then will be in a position to comment if a senior member is talking BS/or why they are cautioning you to be prepared.

we are here to help new members..but if all you want to hear from me if GOOD POSITIVE NEWS, sorry i talk my mind.

No Offence but senior members on this forum really do know the happiness of helping new members..and that is not by sweet talking what cic says, it is knowledge gained from user experience.

Glad to hear and utmost respect the senior members.

In this forum we are here to help each other and discuss and rectify the topic instead not to poke individuals experience. No one is 100% perfect not me and yourself too. Its your individual experience(700 comments) and kindly never tally with other cases.

I am having 12+ overseas experience and out of that 4 years I worked at Waterloo University.

So why hire Asians at CHC ? I can explain you in brief but I doesn't want to discuss in this forum. We know about our system and the people, if not you and me shouldn't have plans to migrate to Country like Canada.

More over students visa is almost finished where as my both cousins got there passport with visa stamped.

recieved in india : 14 june2011

recieved a leter for PPR on : 1 july 2011

status : we start procesing your aplcation on 11july 2011, medical are recieved..

"" but on 15 july a recieved a leter from embasy dat dey require my passport by 25august n in case if i am not able to submit dey refuse my case..""

but as i already send my passport wen i recived leter on 1 july and accordind to post office enquiry i come to knw that my speed post reached new delhi chc on 5th july...but dey issue leter to me on 13th jult wich i reieve on 15july dat dey require my passport..
and in response to that i send dem case specific enquiry and even speed post in which i include the recipet of post office and detail delivery report ..

but till now i didnt get any reponse that wether dey have my passport wid dem or not...

wat to do...
how much i wait..
i go to deli personaly or wat..
is dere any one over dere in deli who listen to me ..
or i also send dem email with same things...post office atachmnet...

any one know that after the status that medical are recived how much time it normaly takes....
bzc in some case after dis status with in 2 3 days peoeple get there visa as there status change to DECISON MADE..

Yes you can visit ND personally to get some update but it really depends who do you encounter at CHC. If you're lucky enough you will be entertained & some light would be shed on your case. Anyways, CHC ND is open to public from 11 am -12 pm only, Mon-Thur.

If you want your passport status so DESPERATELY it's better you pay a visit to CHC ND immediately. Sending them an email is not gonna help much as it's up to them to either reply you (within 28 days) or ignore it as your case is still within normal processing time.

Try to reach at morning 9am at CHC or before that, there may be a big Q standing, its better reach early (first come first out).

Security men at gate will hand over you a form to fill and return to them. The person who is attending your queries will answer you immediately. Dont forget to carry all mandatory proofs and a set of xerox i.e letter received from CIC/CHC, speed post receipts...etc

Hi everybody my application reached delhi on 16 june since then i am waiting .Is anybody around that timeline received good news kindly post your time lines its help for everybody.Did anybody had an idea how much more time i can expect on my application its very frustrating waiting everyday .And can we email delhi office or its not a good idea.Kindly share your info
