Is this the first time you are applying ? Can you provide any list of docs that you have submitted? And did u do it online or paper? Also, can you mention when did u get the email like specific time?

My husband applied on Dec 23rd so getting little bit antsy !

Online
Update: nothing so far.
And applicant is in Canada as a visitor I believe - I hope you get yours approved soon!

Whoa! I now understand that there is something called 'Flagpole' but am not sure if I can use it. So here is my situation:

- My spouse has a Work Permit and already working in Canada (NOC A). Permit is valid for another 15 months
- I am in Canada on a visitor visa (multiple entry and valid)
- Both are Indian PP holders
- I applied to CIC (online) in October but its seems like an eternal wait...

Can I flagpole? Any pointers are appreciated.

Approval Mail : Jan 29th, 2016

M noc 0621, ainp holder and our pr is in proces .i applied for my spouse wp through a lawyer in canada online on nov 5th while my spouse is in india. We did not hear anything from cic yet.

By god's grace I have finally received my SOWP approval after a very long wait & previous 3 visitor visa refusals.

Application submitted - 18th Dec,15 ( @ VFS Bangalore with upfront medicals & passport)
Approval email received - 19th Jan,16
Passport - currently dispatched

My request to everyone planning their move to Canada... Dream BIG & Don't give up on your dreams under any circumstance. Ensure that your application is extremely strong with all relevant papers. Incase of prior refusals, seek CAIPS/GCMS notes before applying again.

I saw your post that your spouse open work permit to canada was approved recently.. Congratulations for that

I am in exactly same boat and in process of applying for an open work permit for my spouse from India...

I wanted to know what documents you and your spouse submitted to VFS India office to get the spouse work permit approval..

Also, on the Family Information Form, for question relating to the spouse who is residing inside Canada on work permit, what did you answer for - "Will accompany you to Canada?" YES or NO?

I would be grateful if you can answer my questions.

I Just checked the processing times for Work permit is showing 3 months cic.
Any updates on SOWP application within Canada online if close to 3 months now ? Thanks

PS: In january'16 it was showing 1 month after blank updates for few past days it is now showing 3 months not sure if anybody heard from them after been 3 months in process.
