Application Type: Online in Canada (while spouse in India)
Medical: Upfront, attached during application submission
Submitted On: May 16, 2015
Visa Office Banglore, india
Passport Request from CIC: July 08, 2015
Passport Submitted @ VFS: July 09, 2015
Passport Received from VFS: July 11, 2015
Moving to canada: July 22nd 2015

I am applying for SOWP.

I have got my upfront medical done recently.

I intend to add the name of my husband on my passport in the spouse's name column in order to solidify the proof of my marriage along with the marriage certificate i provide.

Now this would change my passport id and when the application is submitted would conflict with my proof of identity given in the upfront medical exam.

Thus my question is would this create any problem or would they not consider this mild change as alarming as i fear.

Plz help its urgent.

Hi I am on study permit and I am going to apply for PGWP.
I am working part time and will convert it to full time once I will apply for PGWP. Its NOC B skilled job.
My question is that my husband is currently working in Dubai (Indian citizen), so is it beeter to apply for his SOWP or should I apply for his visitor visa on the basis of my convocation invitation and once he is here, will apply for his OWP.
Which has the higher chance of getting approval.

Spouse Open Work Permit of tfw

Hey good day. Can someone here give me an idea about our situation. my husband is currently in canada as tfw. he's planning to sponsor me so that means if ever my visa or work permit is valid same as him but I have this on going application for PR (I'm the principal applicant). Is it ok if I will come to canada as a dependant of tfw, bec. we want to be together while waiting for our PR papers? does this invalidate my PR application?..

Congrats Preet. Medical request is indeed an extremely positive sign. Mine is currently showing Medical passed. Rest everything is as is except for a new message requestion submission of original passport.

Submitted passport today, waiting for next step.

Online SOWP submission with upfront medical: 26th March
Case Transferred to Chandigarh VO: 28 May
PPR: 18th July
PP Submitted: 20th July
PP Dispatched: 21st July

P.S. 2 TRV rejections in 2014, 2 SOWPs rejected in May 2014 and March 2015 on vague reasons as they weren't convinced if spouse's job fell in NOC O,A,B. It's never the end. All the best to all applicants.

I don't know if we need to submit that form ourself or not.Docter said they will upload the results.

U dont have to submit it anywhere just keep it with urself....physician will do dat.....I have gone throught the same process.....did my medicals on 9th july and it was updated on 20th july as passed...

Yeah u will get a email from ur physician dat they have sent ur results to cic and after 3-4 days it will be updated online....dats how i got???

Hi,

Before starting my query I just want to give a brief background of my status in Canada. Currently I am on my PG work permit which is expiring on November 4, 2015 but my PG work permit is extendable as it was issued according to my passport expiration. I also get my provisional nominee from Saskatchewan (SINP) on May 27, 2015 and I submit our (Me and my wife) application for permanent residence on June 4, 2015 and still waiting for File number and Medical.

On February 27, 2015 my wife have submit her application for SPOUSE OPEN WORK PERMIT on my post-graduate work permit. When my wife was submitting her application she went through an eligibility assessment by CIC in which it was mention that she can apply. According to Policy I should have NOC "A", "B" or "0" category job, which I have (NOC "B"), then they required work permit to be minimum of 6 months when you are applying, as at that time which was approximately 8 month work permit and remaining 4 month will be issued on my renewed passport.

After approximately 5 long months on July 22, 2015 she got a refusal from CIC with a reason that my work permit is expiring on November 4, 2015 and according to SOWP policy my work permit should be more than 6 months but at the time of application submission my work permit is more than 6 months and on other hand my work permit clearly state that it can be further extended.

I also submit my SINP nominee letter to them through case base inquiry but still it doesn't make any impact to her application.

Now I need some sort of guidance and advise for further process.
