Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications 2017 timeline and updates

I'm not able to link my OWP application - the system tells me no such applications exist. I have already linked the PR one though, so I assume they've received everything. Have others tried successfully?

We applied for family sponsorship and OWP in January 2017. My visitor stamp in my passport expires March 14th. We found information that I don't have to apply for extension of my stay if I already applied for family sponsorship and OWP; I should just wait for their response, but now the expiration date is coming and I have some doubts. Does anyone know, if we should apply for the extension of my stay anyway?

I believe as long as you have evidence they recieved the OWP you're on implied status until it comes in the post. That's my understanding anyway as I'm in a similar situation having to extend my visitor status just in case because we're sending the application around the exact time my visa expires

As long as you apply before your current status you re on implied status. You wont be if cic send your application back due to missing froms, signatures, etc...which in that case you ll have to apply for a visitor extension..

Thank you both, I will just wait then. The thing is that they don't mention OWP status in myCIC at all. I guess they either accept it or not.

I am in a similar situation here. Applied Inland with OWP on Sept 2016, file was in recieved by CIC Missisuaga in 2days. As per the updates for my application:
-Started processing Oct 31,2016
- Received acknowledging Receipt Nov 1,2016

It's been 4+ months that CIC received the app. Haven't recieved any update on OWP. I was told that usually OWP comes around in 3-4 months.

I am anxious and eagerly waiting. Can anyone tell me what's the ideal timeline for recieved OWP for inland applications.

Application for spouse and owp have nothing to do with each other once you apply, they are proccessed in different places. Since i have a rep. I cant log into my ecas but can only see mycic. I see my spousal app. but can never log to see the owp. But dont worry, if you did your work well, you ll get your opw in around 4 months give or take, just enjoy life and time goes by much quicker. Good luck

We had trouble finding that as well. If you log into CIC and go to your application and click "Check status and messages", theres another blue button on the bottom of the page which says "View Submitted Application". This button leads you to a page for submitting documents.

i have allredy did that but their is no option of uploading the document under section documents required , its says no document required at this time, and i have very less time to send my PCC

How long after AOR were you guys asked to submit your background check and schedule A? Is it immediately or do I have to wait a couple of weeks?

I got AOR 2 days ago but they haven't asked me for anything yet
