Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications 2016 timeline and updates

Hey guys my inland application was received by CIC on August 5th, 2016 and the AOR was received on August 25, 2016.
I got a medical request on June 20, 2017 and I completed it by June 22, 2017 and on ECAS it appears as Received whereas on MyCIC it appears as Passed.

After that I have seen no movement. Some of the applicants whose file was received by CIC on Aug 8, 9 etc got the medical request around the same time I did but they have seen movement as far as landing. I am not sure why my file is stuck.

Any ideas?

Good morning folks; @profilerYou think delays from rcmp is the possible reason in security checks delay?

Security == CSIS.
Criminality == RCMP.

The article cited was from a different organization experiencing the same email problems as CIC.

The only questions I am asked (typically) at the border when returning is, "How long were you in line?"

The wife has had times where it was that simple, but she has also had some more interesting... encounters... I am just waiting to see what her latest adventure will look like, now that she has a PR Card. She comes back Friday....

I hope all went well for her when she came back into Canada. I bet your glad she is back home with you . I keep trying that phone number you gave me to call CIC in Mississauga I give up lol they don't answer , all I get are recording and more prompts ...

hmmm, took a look at what you linked.
There is only 1 IRCC office on the Island, thats in St Johns and as I said before its, approx 660km.. I dont care how far we have to drive, lol. Cant really see them sending me off the Island to incur even more $$ (ie, airfare) along with the hotel, food and gas already spending to get to St Johns.
As far as the itinerant services go, there is nothing listed for Newfoundland at this time.

That was from July -- that was the last update. I am not saying for sure that's what it is, but they might just meet you at a timmies instead! (kidding, of course).

I saw someone else reporting also getting these questions prior to the interview (I can't remember who it was, but that was for a landing in Montreal).

likely security and/or criminality checks. You can try calling CIC and ask.

You could possibly hear something any minute as last week they were just at applications sent up to August 25th. You can always call to see where they are in your file at the moment.

sounds good.. you can be done soon as depending on locations, it could take 2-8 weeks for a landing interview.

Hi; We are 16 june 2016 applicant; we received SA/AIP on 4 july 2017; till now it is going to be 2 months since they started security/background check.

there was a upgrade scheduled for today, maybe that is the reason

Variety? Spice things up a bit? Can you paste the whole address -- that might give some clues.

They re-branded, so perhaps they are also rebranding or expending the OSC (Operations Support Centres) and including Case Support Centres?
