Here they are referring to dependent child to be sponsored. Not yours.

I'm little confused how much i'm supposed to pay.
when Sponsoring father and mother only, total family of 5, (me+wife + child)
1 x Sponsor (Me) $75
1 x Principal applicant(father) $475
1 x Spouse or common-law(mother) $550

total $1100, is correct?
or i add to pay $150 for Dependent child?
I'm not sure, child from which side they are referring to.
my dependent or applicant's dependent.

Just curious to know did the govt increase the cap to 10000 as promised by them or is it still 5000 for 2016.

I couldn't find any update on the cap figure even on the cic website.

Its still 5000 for 2016. Maybe it will 10000 for 2017. Who knows.

If the liberals promised the 10K, it will be for 2017. Not for 2016. Remember, CIC are the ones who have to make the official change. They are not going to change it to 10K in 1 business day left before Jan 4th. It's not going to happen.

The syrian refugees are more important than increasing the cap to the liberals. And they can't even meet the promise already. They backed off 25K to 10K by end of this year and they still can't even meet that either.

So finally dropped the package at Fedex. They saw the package and said they already knew when to deliver because they already received tons of these. 8)

I’ve prepared all documents to sponsor my parents (father and mother). Date to apply is Jan. 4, 2016.

I don’t know the next steps, please help.

1. Can I submit my application/documents online?
• 1b) If so, how?
• 1c) Please provide link/website.

2. If I have to submit hard copies via FedEx/Canada Post, then how to do this?
• 2b) What’s this “RECEIPT” that I need to print and put in with the application packet to send via courier?

1. you cannot submit anything online.
2. only way to apply is through courier and when u give them your documents they will give the receipt and tracking number to track your application and and also the signature receipt when available is to when they delivered your package.
3. If you have completed all the forms then you might have also filled the fee payment form. just enter your credit card details sign it and if your application is accepted you will get charged on your credit card.

Now the only thing you should consider is to how to get into the cap of 5000 application bcoz you are too late. find the courier company that can deliver your package on 4th early in the morning after 8am.

You need to get Monday delivery. Tuesday may be too late to make the cap.
