In profile along the left side you should see a "Modify Profile" menu, and then under that "Forum Profile Information". That is what you use to add timeline.

I know some features you can't access until you have 10 posts, so perhaps that is the reason you can't see it yet. Make 3 more posts and try again!
Thanks Rob_TO!

For anyone else reading this thread, here's an update after following your advice.

I also contacted my local MP, and within 1 day they gave me a bit of an update. They told me that it was still within the 14 month processing time( my docs would have been sent to seoul end of january 2013), and that it is in process and to check again with them, ( to contact the MP) in April. They also advised that my wife's medical would be expired and would have to redo it, but not to get it done again until they advise me to.
Hey PatientCanuck,

Someone on this site, earlier had said that the 14 months is the average time in Manilla, but it not the standard for CIC. The CIC standard was a much shorter time frame and that your MP can get after Manilla once they go longer than that standard. Maybe take a look back through this thread and see what you can find.

I completed the GMACs form and submitted it, have yet to hear back but i believe it takes up to 30 days. Also sent in an email to manilla directly since they advise phone calls will not be answered regarding files.
You should get an email soon acknowledging your request. It will give you what they call a 'temporary tracking number' which, it seems, is actually the permanent tracking number.

In my case, and I read this in a few other cases here on this board, I had no response after 30 days. I then emailed them on day 31, quoted the temporary tracking number and then received the notes the same day. So you might want to be prepared for that happening.

Hello all,

For those of you who have gone through or are going through Manilla, how long did it take for your wife to receive her PR card, or how long have you been waiting?

My wife and I sent out the application march of last year, received the COPR and landed at the end of January, and are waiting on the PR Card.

Hi Rob from T.O... or anyone else from Toronto.

Can you please recommend me a good translator located in Toronto?

Also, this may be a big time noob question but can someone please clarify if the translation services provide the notarization? Or is that strictly with the embassy?

Thanks! ;D

For nationals of Korea:
• Family Relation Certificate and one certified true translation into French or English of your Family
Relation Certificate. This document should have been recently issued.
• Marriage Relation Certificate and one certified true translation into French or English
• Old (deleted) Family Census Register and one certified true translation into French or English

In addition to this you'll also need:
- Korean police certificate
- Photocopy of Korean ID (passport and/or national ID card)

I think that was it.

I used Jean Sim. She is based in Mississauga. I though she did a good job.

But she didn't provide any notarization option. There are places where you can get both. It doesn't have to be an embassy.

If the translator is in Ontario, and is certified, and you are providing original documents, you don't need the notarization.

A quick Google search disclosed these guys in Toronto. http://www.interpretation-services.ca/Translation.html

I don't know anything about them, other than the fact that their translators are certified. You could probably find others in Toronto as well.

I have sponsored my wife. My 2.5 year old son is already a citizen. I received a letter dated Sep. 2013 approving my sponsorship. My wife's PR application is "received" at Manila, and we haven't been asked any questions. What are your guesses of when a decision might be made?

[We would like to move to Canada Sep. 2014. Do you think it will be approved by that date?]

Thank you very much for your help :D

Assuming your application proceeds smoothly, I would say that if you don't have a decision by September 2014, you'll be pretty close. That's a best guess on my part based on what I've seen on other recent Manila applications here on this board.

You can always come to Canada anyway. She can enter as a visitor and wait out the balance of the PR process here.

That's strange. Both Korea2Canada and I heard from Manila 4-5 months after file transfer. Have you considered ordering your GCMS notes? I got mine last week. You'll get a lot more information about what's been done with your application.
