Hello, I filed my refugee claim last year, February 2023. I haven’t yet received a hearing date. Has anyone else applied around the same time and if yes have you been given a hearing date yet?

Thank you!

Passport seizure to interview was a long time. Did you get work permit right after seizure ? Waiting to hear about seizure appointment here.

I have submitted evidence on July 15, 2023, but there is no news so far. Can I check my information on the ircc website? I cannot see my refugee application information in my ircc account

Give them a call! They will ask your UCI, then offer connecting to the officer on your case (don't — that never works, ask to leave a note so that the officer will call you back instead).

March 1 was medical exam or medical pass date uploaded on ircc website ? 6months - 2 years depending on complexity of case. Those from war countries can expect quick hearings..

Well the documents they took was my passport and birth certificate. And Honestly I wasn't asked anything it was barely an interview. I went into 2 rooms. One of which took my biometrics and confirmed my contact info, also took the passport and birth certificate and the other room was receiving my brown paper and signing documents also discussing each documents I was given. That was it nothing else. My BOC that was submitted was well written and I explained my case thoroughly, so I'm not sure if my story was enough but I wasn't asked anything. So now I'm just waiting on a hearing Date and I'm hopeful soon. But my medical wasn't completed that's why I didn't get the work permit right away.

Also it may depend on where your interview is.

My interview will be in Kitchener. Is it mandatory for birth certificates? I have only my passport with me.
