The 50 points thing is just the employability threshold, you are supposed to reach at least 57 points as "SEUIL DE PASSAGE À L'EXAMEN
PRÉLIMINAIRE" in your initial application as well, then there is the "SEUIL DE PASSAGE EN SÉLECTION" (63 points) which takes into account up to 6 points they can award you during the interview.

yeahh i don't think i'll apply now.. unless..

Which is the date of application that shows your file? or your 1st AOR?
the day it got to the embassy or the date you sent it via FEDEX or DHL or whatever?

that would be my only chance i guess.

The AOR is an email or a letter that includes your file number.

According to immigration Québec web site, they will send it 4 to 6 months after you submit your application.

Hi Pepepapa.

My husband and i wont get to do the French Test until the end of May, but I sent off our package today just to hopefully catch the deadline. I don't want to risk the unknown of the changes that will take place, we do seem to meet the points needed without it, so when we get the results we will update our file. I am praying it gets there soon enough...was wondering since its a Public Holiday on Thursday and Friday if they will get it on time in Mexico.

The only relevant date is when they receive it.

Hi all,
I'm new in this forum and I need help calculating my points. This is my profile:

Education: MBA in UK, Bachelor degree in Accounting (in Colombia)
Area of training: this is very confusing for me; is this based on my studies, my experience, the NOC?? How do I know if I get 6, 12 or 16 points??
Experience: 2 years as Office Administrator, 2 years as Economic/Financial Analyst
Age: 30
English:Results not ready
French: Studying at the moment

My spouse has this profile:
Education:Bachelor degree in Business Administration (earned more that 5 years ago)
AOT: Same question as above
Age: 36
French: Studying at the moment

I hope someone can help me with this. Thank you in advance for the cooperation.

you can go through

http://www.canadavisa.com/quebec-skilled-worker-immigration.html

this will give what you need. Note that, Applying as a couple requires 57 points minimum for your application be to considered. And the pass point would be 63, note that the additional 6 points will be given based on interview

Also, you can choose the best candidate as the primary applicant, considering age, education, and other factors. Primary applicant will have more weight in calculating the points

Dear swamik,
thank you for your reply. I've been looking at the Quebec Skilled Workers and we are planning to apply under this program but I want to make sure that the points I think we have are correct.
Would you be able to help me calculating the points based on my information, mainly the part of education, AOT and experience?
