@Rashida

They are seeking for updated statements, so submit ur bank statements and other fixed deposits details. No need to transfer the money in to ur own individual accounts. Just send the details as such( Joint accounts). CHC will consider it.

Bank statement would be at least 3 months old. So if u will transfer the funds it will definitely reflect that u have burrowed money from some external source.

Cheers

Rashida,

You can submit a Bank certificate with your balance of funds and that should be enough.
In addition you can submit the statment of bank account where in your or your spouse salary is credited since all that they would be looking for is if there is a inflow of funds both the accounts can be of different banks.

Rashida ,

For proof of funds the Bank certificate is fine or you can submit a detailed statement for 3 to 6 months.
With regards to your husbands salary account statement you can submit yours and his if you are claiming points for his work experience since it just shows that there is a steady inflow of funds since the Bank certificate will not give date wise detail of income.
So it’s your call to provide a six months bank statement or a bank certificate for proof of funds.

Hi,

I'll soon be sending my full documents to New Delhi.
I have applied under the FSW visa.

I'm single applicant, unmarried and living with my parents.

My query is regarding funds.
As i lived and worked abroad since graduating in Inida.
I had opened a joint savings a/c with my father here in India.

Am going to show savings a/c and fixed deposit receips jointly held by me and my father as proof of funds.

Further I will attach a letter of consent from my father saying that these funds are entirely mine.
Also I will attach a letter saying the reason to keep a joint a/c with my father was so that there is easy access, maintainance and for emergency as well as security of my funds.

My funds are almost 8 lakhs rupees. Approx 13,000 CAN $

Would this be fine? Please suggest.
Will be very kind of you.

My understanding is that you have to show at least 3 months banking records if you are using bank funds as proof of funds. I don't think the entire balance has to have been there for 3 months, if they can see you have been saving with genuine income and see the outgoings they just want to be sure the money isn't going to dip below the funds required.

I think it's only large unexplained amounts they are interested in, since the mainly just want proof that the money is yours.

Wayne.

Do they want Source of funds?
my Visa Office specific guide didnt ask for anything like that, so I didnt send any source of the PoF, although I am always ready to do so if asked by the Immi officer(IO).

Fariza and some others recently told to provide the source of their fund to the CHC.

Hi,

I got the visa stamped and am going to Vancouver next week for a short trip to activate my visa. Am too much worried about the pof upon arrival.

Am going there with my wife and infant and am supposed to show the funds of around 20k SGD. If at all am carrying 8k in hands and 12k in form of demand draft (Travellers cheque no more available in singapore), am losing around 500$ SGD in exchange and other rates. Any other options?

Can I travel with full liquid cash?

Yes but make sure you declare it to the CBSA officers.
