Can we sponsor parents freshly now, I have a confusion, last Oct when there was a notification issued it said that it based out of the original 2020 sponsorship. Can you please help me if the new notification is already out, I would like to submit a sponsorship for my parents.

Expect some announcement later this year as the 2022 PGP was only announced in the Fall. It is not known if it will open to new applicants. If it does, make sure that you meet eligibility requirements and LICO. It is a lottery so your parents name may not be selected the first year or many years after that.

When did you actually start earning an income in Canada? Do you live in Quebec?

I am here in Canada since 4 yrs, I dont Live in Qubec, I m in Calgary at the moment might move back to Toronto. I also meet all the income requirements to sponsor parents just confused with the invitations.

You’ll have to wait and see what the system will be this year and whether there is an new EOI. Announcement will likely be in the Fall since it has been in the Fall for multiple years. The demand far exceeds the amount of spots and there seems to be a push to prioritize those who have waited the longest. Getting PGP after 4 years working in Canada is quite rare.

It is a program that is renewed every year so can be different every year and no guarantees.

Yeah exactly, Currently they issued a previous notice for 2020 applicants in 2022 , I was confused it the 2022 fresh applicants are eligible for that,

No one knows. IRCC hasn't announced anything yet for this year.
